This was our first time at Papa Joe's and we were not disappointed!! From the Caramel Apple Martini and Sangria to the soup and... main courses, it's a definite "Sì!" for us! Our server, Lara (who is the absolute best!), offered suggestions for each item weate and we were pleasantly surprised by the rich, fresh flavors. We have been driving by Papa Joes for years and never stopped. After seeing a post on Facebook and reading the reviews on Google... we decided to go for my birthday. The pictures of the food looked good but looks can be deceiving. For starts what I assumed wasthe owner and his wife were standing near us speaking about business that they should not have been talking about nearcustomers. The wait staff was also talking loud enough for us to hear about stuff as well. It was very unprofessional. Had thestaff spent less time chatting and more time doing their jobs our service would have been better. I will explain. Our order wasStuffed Mushrooms, Antipasto A'la Papa Joe, Chicken Cognac, and New York Strip Palmero. The Antipasto A'la Papa Joe was good,but we had asked for the Gorgonzola and Anchovies on the side as I am the only one that likes those on my salad. The issue waswhen the Antipasto came out the gorgonzola and anchovies did not come out with it. Our waitress said they were getting somefresh gorgonzola for us. By the time she got around to getting it to us the salad was almost gone. I was not sure why you woulddeliver food to a table that was not complete. Our main dishes came out to us and they looked good but again they lookeddeceiving. Will start with the NY Strip. The steak had zero flavor, it was just not a good cut of meat, even with the peppers,onions, and cheese it did not help it. The Chicken Cognac was a chicken breast coated in a very bland bread crumb seasoning. Itwas so bland that it took away from the cognac sauce that was good. The flavor was so off when you mixed the two it just madethe whole dish unappealing. For my birthday they gave me a mini cannoli. Thank God that was the best part of the whole meal. Truly a local gem! As soon as you walk in you are enamored by the warm feeling of the Italian inspired decor. Staff is always... professional, attentive and helpful. Lots of items on the menu including some ?Papa Joe? signature dishes. The serving sizesare plentiful and everything that I have had so far has been quite delicious. I?ve always been too full to try their dessertsbut, they looked quite scrumptious where they?re displayed at the front of the store. The service is not only excellent in therestaurant but, also from a pickup service as well. My Company uses them to have meals boxed ?to-go? for special businessluncheons and our employees love it. This is a really good place to go for Italian cuisine with a rich atmosphere. When in Brooksville I'll hit this place up every... now and then. While not quite a five-star place in my opinion... I wish I could give a 4.5 because it seems better than a 4. Atany rate, they've got a good menu and all the dishes that I've had tasted great. Read more

Fine Italian dining experience. If I could go back again I'd try the Lombardo. But what I got this time was the Chiken... Parmigiana. It was a nice size chicken breast covered in cheese with a side of pasta and sauce. Not sure if it was pasta wateror if the sauce was a little watery but I like a thicker sauce. My nephew got the spaghetti. And my mother got the Sausage andPeppers. She said the sausage was really tasty. I had the pasta Fagioli as an appetizer and it was good but the noodles were waypast al dente. The garlic bread was hot and fresh from the oven and tasted amazing! A staple out where you wouldn't expect it. Excellent Italian food. Everything is great but make sure you start with their... brusetta. Seriously. You are making a big mistake if you don't. They have been here forever. The owner Papa Joe is out in theevening checking on tables and making sure the food is up to snuff. Thats some dedication. My family & I visited this restaurant since it's on our bucket list of places that we've seen from the road and wanted to try.... Nothing can prepare you for how amazing this place really is! The atmosphere is top notch, and the decorations inside are socute and vibrant! The menu has a wide array of delicious options for anyone craving authentic style Italian cuisine. I got thesampler which included a large meatball, baked ziti, sausage & peppers and stuffed shells.
