Wasn?t impressed by the food or especially the service. Only ordered two meals. My husbands was almost right but mine was way... wrong. When it was brought over, it had sauce on it and it was requested without sauce or pickles. So sent it back. When it canback it had pickles on it and no cheese. Sent back again. When got it back again it had about 10 pieces of dry shredded cheeseand they had only taken off the pickle (which for those who don?t like pickles, know you can still taste the pickle juice thathas seeped on the bread and chicken) and not made a fresh sandwich. Move over Chick-Fil-A, there is a new chicken king in town, and it is Huey Magoo's. Hands down, these are the best chicken... tenders I've had the pleasure of eating at a restaurant. While the food is served in a reasonably fast manner, it is not a"fast food" joint. Instead, it is closer to a Moe's or Chipotle in terms of a dining experience. You can get things to go or usethe drive-through, but the best experience is sitting down inside. The tenders are very tasty, and the sauces offered are atrue delight. I prefer the Magoo's sauce, but there are plenty from which to choose. Side options include seasoned fires(excellent) and fresh cooked chips. The chips are pretty incredible - they are not store chips but instead potatoes fried onsite. The staff is very friendly, and the dining area is super clean. Be sure to tip the staff as they earn a substantialportion of their income from those tips. We love this place and have been twice since they opened. My first time Huey Magoo?s! This is a recently opened (new) location. I must say the food is fresh, fresh, fresh?.. The staff... was very friendly, professional, and courteous. The food was freshly fantastic and came hot and very quickly even though therestaurant was crowded. The Cole slaw was good but tasted a little weird to say the least. The chicken was fresh, hot, anddelicious. The Texas toast was a great extra to get with my meal and made it even better. We had a great experience thisevening. There was three of us: we all ordered three piece chicken meals and drinks. The total was $28.00 which I think wasvery reasonable for what we ordered compared to other establishments. Our first visit ever to a Huey Magoos and the customer service was exceptional. We paid for our meals and then sat down. We then... began to notice that people who came after us were getting their meals before us so we kindly asked if maybe we were forgottenabout. Not sure if we were, but it was handled immediately. Absolutely understandable that they have new people and mistakeswill be made. They went above and beyond to make sure it was rectified. The chicken and fries were excellent. Opening day, Yesterday. I was very pleased with the service and wait time. The reason for the 4 star vs 5 star.... the sauces... are good but charging $.59 for a cup is unreal. If you are going to compete with Athe other chicken places in the area, this issomething you need to fix. Plus, I got a family meal with 2 large fries and the fried were under cooked and under seasoned. Ihave had Huey Magoos before in Orlando so, I know the brand. I was just shocked spending $40+ for 20 traders meal and we got 4small cups of sauce. If it was not a to go order I would have said something in person. Keep up the good service. Read more
