Ordered a chow mein, didn't look appealing and taste was old, seems like was sitting for a while before being refired....
Weird waiting list but great servers try the eggs and bacon but do not forget your hot sauce
I enjoyed the soup of the day (beef and barley)! :-) it is very soothing to the soul on a cold Winter's day at my favorite place... to play! :-) Also recommended is the house salad with the signature balsamic vinaigrette and the extra virgin olive oil grownlovingly and locally in the capay valley! A tribute to the local heritage the estate grown olives have a slight note of citrusin the flavor. The Elderberry balsamic is robust and have the perfect Blend of sweet and sour notes that compliment the freshlypressed E.V.O.O. with graceful humility! Read more
It is unbelievable how businesses want to make money but still they don't want to put more people on the floor, do you know how... many people you turn down only because you don't want to have a few more servers, and have the ones standing around help theonly server you have, 35 min to an hour wait I think that's ridiculous, for a table for 2, there was a party of 8 already, Yien was very efficient and attentive food was great. Stopped by to eat this Sunday evening. Roughly 25% of tables with customers seated in dining room - off peak time. Was told by... hostess the wait time to be seated is at least 25 minutes. Stopped by Canyon Cafe after realizing that .ost of the other restaurants had closed or were getting ready to close. Waiting... about 30 minutes for a table. Once the table was ready I was prompted seated. When the waitress arrived, I placed an order forthe Ribeye steak dinner with a side of country potatoes, mashed potatoes, and ordered a drink from the bar through her. I washoping that the drink would arrive first before the food, but it didn't work out that way. The steak was alright, but wasslightly underseasoned. Luckily they dropped off some A1 sauce and salt was readily available at the table. For dessert I triedtheir Chocolate Lava Cake with Ice Cream. Sadly by the time that it made it to my table, the cake was hardly lukewarm and nowhere near what I was expecting since the cake was described to have a "molten" center. Overall Canyon Cafe is okay if you'relooking for simple comfort foods or when most of the other restaurants in the casino are closed. Read more
