I really love Winona’s. It’s a great neighborhood spot, the drinks are phenomenal, and the food is generally fantastic. The... only issue I have with Winona’s is that I find the execution of their food is really hit and miss. This may be my own faultfor visiting so frequently during the week instead of during Friday/Saturday. Their staples are great, but dishes such as theirTortilla, and Cabbage, are really off. Their tortilla was so over salted that it was almost difficult to eat. Whereas theircabbage entree was remarkably under seasoned. That being said, they used to have a pastrami short rib on their menu, and it wasone of the best dishes I’d ever had. I wish the consistency was there, but nevertheless, I’ll always head to Winona’swhenever possible. Read more

The Mushroom Pozole is delish - an eclectic brunch dish. I got tired of the traditional brunch stuff: avocado toast, omelette,... frittata and etc.;) This Pozole is nicely presented. The colors from the poblano soup, the soft boiled egg, the pickled cabbageand pineapple make the dish a great choice for summer! I wish they had complimentary bread with it because I don’t want towaste the creamy broth. I ended up asking for the bread separately which they did charge me extra for but I was glad they addedsome efforts to that piece of sourdough - grilled with some olive oil;) Read more

I went for the wine but the food was outstanding. I was shocked at how delicious the vegan little gem lettuce salad was. It was... like an amazing marriage of Caesar salad and banh mi flavors. I will dream of that salad. The oysters and minionette weredelicious. Bread and cultured butter was tasty. The arancini was not my favorite, it was somehow too artichoke-y. I likeartichokes but this ate too sour for me. Overall, this is the best wine bar in the neighborhood by far, nice staff too. Read more

Chill spot for lunch. Limited seating inside and extra space outside. Enjoyed the indoor seating very much cozy and nice.... Ordered the sardine sandwich on focaccia which was delicious and light. And you can't go wrong with the grilled cheese andbutternut squash soup. Overall lovely service and ambience. Read more

Lovely dinner and great service! We tried several items and especially loved the trout crudo. It was genius. The olive oil cake... with poached pears was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Kudos! Read more
