This is a pizza place. It is one of the best in the city, and to some tastes may well be the best. The crust is very crispy. ... The tomato sauce is tangy. The cheese is more chewy and substantial than most. They have an array of great-looking pizzas -variations on traditional themes - though I've only tried a couple because I go with my young kids. It's good for kids. Haswine and beer, nice cocktails, and an extremely good Cesar salad. No pasta -- just pizza. Very friendly staff. Not tooexpensive. No reservations. Often a bit of a wait, but if someone from your group shows up in advance they will take your nameand try their best. It should be in heavy rotation for any food lover in the area. A specific kind of pizza, much lighter than typical for NYC. A slice is more of a snack than a meal. The crust is exceptionally... thin and dry in the center, but rewardingly chewy and puffy at the rim. Really hard to make a crust like that. Sauces, cheeseand toppings are good quality, but sparingly applied and take back seat to the crust. It's not always what you want in a pizza,but uniquely good when it is. The hosting team there, including excellent bartenders, are super friendly and helpful. Highlyrecommended. Read more
Hands down, this is by far the best and my favorite pizza in NYC. If you like a very tasty (on the thicker side) crust,... delicious sauce (on the sweet side- as it should be!) and amazing delicious toppings, this is your spot. I am a huge pizza fanand have tired many pizza joints around the city, and this is the place I will always come back to for a great pizza! Also,their cocktails are amazing!! The staff is super friendly despite how busy they get so be mindful that they just opened theirdine in (March 2022) since covid so they are fairly busy most of the time, so try and come in the early evenings.
