Clearly rookies in the restaurant space. Between the aggressive waiter, stoned owner/manager, deafening noise/music and the pile... of badly presented fried food (they only had 1 option because it was an ?event night?) I can easily name this as one of theworst bar experiences of my 18 years in New York. The place caters to a particular ?crowd? and mistreats anyone who doesn?t fitthe profile. Shame on you for taking up space in the service business and bigger shame on you for sabotaging New York?s allwelcoming, diversity celebrating nature. I doubt you will last a few months in business. Saturday I hosted my brother's 50th birthday party at The Steel Mill. It was absolutely amazing! The food, decor and most... importantly the hospitality given by the owner JR was the best. My brother as well as all of the guest loved everything aboutThe Steel Mill. It was the perfect location for the party. The light decor on the walls as well as the base of the bar isbeautifully amplified when the lights are dimmed. There is more than enough space for major decor if you're hosting a party. Iwas able to have a backdrop area for photos on one side and in the other corner set up a King's throne with pillars so mybrother can feel like a real King. Everyone was able to eat, take photos, dance, drink and just enjoy themselves comfortably. JRwent up and beyond to accommodate all of us to the fullest. He personally made sure that all of our needs and requests weremet. JR is and always have been a gentleman and a pleasure to do business with. Read more

Great happy hour until 8pm M-F. The drinks, food and ambiance was great. The bartender was efficient and friendly even it got... busy really fast around 7pm. The inside and outside seating was a plus. The vibe was chill. Definitely recommend the SteelRitas! Great addition to the neighborhood. We will definitely be back! Read more
