I?m a celebrity photographer and I?ve been to every high end restaurant in and around NYC. This place is beautiful but The food... portion don?t meet the price. I ordered King Salmon and I got a baby piece of Salmon. Everything was tasteless, finepresentation, excellent staff, silverware and China changed with every course. Fixed menu at 180.00 per person. She loved theexperience but we both were hungry after walking out. I felt like Lucy Ricardo from that episode where the rich friends tookthem out to dinner and they felt out of place. I can afford whatever I want and this place is just not worth the money. However, you won?t have to worry about hearing the staff singing happy birthday to every other table every five minutes. My husband and I came here to celebrate our 2 year anniversary, and we had an unforgettable experience! The views alone make... this place worth a visit for a special occasion, but other than that, the food and drinks were also wonderful. I will say, befully prepared to spend a lot of money, but I do think it?s worth it. The menu is a fixed price menu ($180 per person whichincluded an appetizer, entree, dessert, and some chef samples along the way), so definitely look into that on their websitebefore you go. There is also a dress code (jackets for men, etc.). The staff was so kind and attentive, and they made us feelvery special on our anniversary, even bringing out a dessert that had ?Happy Anniversary? written on it. Wonderful service and delicious food! The timing of courses and drinks are impeccable! The nighttime scenery is beautiful at any... time of year because the city is always lit. The lights on the grotto provide a romantic little walk. Walkway can be slipperywhen raining. Read more
From my arrival to the end of the meal, the staff was amazing! So friendly, professional, and polite. The food is delicious and... the presentation is top-tier. The amazing views are definitely another reason to dine here. I mean who doesn?t want to saythey?ve basically fine dined under the Brooklyn bridge?! From arrival to leaving, amazing, staff were friendly, professional, and polite. The range of cocktails both with or without... alcohol were amazing.... the menu.. well.. simply everything we had was succulent, vibrant, tasty and meticulously prepared,presented, and served. What an experience! From walking through a fairy light filled path, to the aesthetics of the decor and beautiful water front... view. This place really left a mark. It felt like for a night we sat at an elegant European restaurant by the water. I don?tusually prefer small plate dining but my boyfriend wanted to go here for his 21st and the menu did not disappoint. Everythingthe chef brought in had exquisite flavor. We started off with complimentary plates from the chef. We each were allowed oneappetizer, entree, and dessert. Even though the portions didn't seem as big as usual we left just close to full by dessert.Overall, we had a very romantic evening this place is worth every penny. Read more
We couldn?t have better things to say about this Brooklyn wedding venue. As wedding photographers at Megan & Kenneth, this was... hands down one of the best event experiences for the couple, guests, and vendors alike. The entire staff was attentive, warm,and professional. The food was exquisite with beautiful plating and flavor combinations. Their ceremony space was intimate andperfect for a micro-wedding in the heart of the city. With sweeping skyline views, the River Café is a truly unique andversatile Brooklyn wedding venue. Superb! They made us feel like queens and kings. The staff was outstanding. The walk in was beautiful. They have fall lights,... flowers and a little water fountain. It's definitely an experience. While at dinner I looked left and looked at the Brooklynbridge. Then to my right in the distance was the Statue of Liberty. The whole night was fabulous. Went here to celebrate myfiance birthday. Great place for birthdays or any occasion. They also had a wedding reception going on too. The only bad thing Icould say is their chairs are not comfortable. They're wicker chairs. Read more
