We called to make a reservation. We told them we had a reservation for three when we arrived. The girl was really rude and... giving mean girl vibes because she was like ?I didn?t hear about that?. She didn?t say anything to us even when we were tryingto talk and be overly nice. She asked my friend what to drink and before I could answer just walked away. Then when we got thefood she straight up just disappeared for 30 minutes and my friend kept trying to wave or catch her eye. We felt reallyembarrassed. The food was so bland for being 15 dollars. There were 10 fries with a sprinkle of paprika and then a wrap withthree pieces of unseasoned chicken in the middle, the rest being cabbage. The beginning and the end was piles of wraps. Thegarlic sauce we asked for hoping to add flavor to dry chicken was just watery. It was literally empty and she was just at thebar talking to someone. We got up to ask for the check which we felt rude about. She came over and dropped the check literallyturning around before it even hit the table. We were really confused? The food was so bad and felt like a cold deli wrap. Also acan of soda was 3.50?. Read more

Wow, wow, and wow again to Tavash Turkish Meditteranean Restaurant. Your food and service are nothing short of amazing! My... friend and I arrived to an empty restaurant, but a warm smile from the waitress that helped us navigate the menu and got usdelicious and cool old fashions from the bar. My friend got their calamari and I got the baba ghanoush. The calamari came withthis marinara type sauce that had a nice kick of spice and went so well with the calamari and the bread! The baba ghanoush didnot disappoint either! It was super creamy and had tons of sesame seeds! I had to stop myself from eating all of it as we werebrought a fresh platter of their sampler entree that came with beef, lamb, and chicken. Omg!! Everything was grilled andseasoned to perfection--including a pepper ok the side! The rice and salad complemented the meats so well! My friend and I dugin and I so wish I had another stomach as I did not want to stop eating! I am so glad we shared the platter because there is noway we could've had our own entrees! As a side note yhe waitress and other staff were so helpful, funny, and kind. They reallymade is feel right at home! Absolutely know that I will be back here the next time I am in BK!! A must when in the area! Read more

My sister wanted us to try some Turkish/Mediterranean food. So we came here. The service was excellent, the food we very... tasty, and the portions and hearty? but the price was a little bit high. It's a great place for a date or very nicelypresentation and atmosphere for a special occasion, but definitely not a place I can come to all the time. I have been toTurkey, and I can say the taste does in fact bring authenticity. Oh, do try their Baklava for desert? ????. I would give it 9 of10! Read more

A cute little lunch spot on the 5th Ave stripe. The restaurant was pretty empty but understandable considering it was about 3pm... on a weekday. We ordered two lunch specials - the kofte and the chicken shish. The pita came out first without the appetizers. We ordered the babaganush and spinach tarator but we ate most of the pita without and had to ask for more. I guess it'sstandard? Anyway, the tarator was amazingly creamy and tart which I preferred over the babaganush. The entrees came out withoutwaiting too long. Both were hot and just what we needed on a cold day. The kofte was good but a bit gamey. The chicken wasdelicious! Lots flavor and very moist! I highly recommend! The wait staff was minimal and a bit distant but it was nice. Therestaurant was clean and well decorated. A nice experience overall. Read more

the falafel wrap is SO good and so big! the wrap itself is really soft and slightly chewy, in a good way. everything tastes... homemade?not salty or oily?but with fantastic flavors. i?m definitely gonna become a regular here and can?t wait to try more ofthe menu. edit: finally got to dine in and try more stuff! the hummus and baba ghanoush were standouts, the best i?ve ever had,and i highly recommend the mezze platter for this reason?it comes with house bread. as with the wrap, everything on the platterwas homestyle/not greasy but full flavored with what must be good underlying ingredients. next up i?ll be trying the falafel onits own, and if it?s as good as the other food here i think tava might just become my favorite restaurant in the city <3 Read more

I went yesterday and ordered two gyros. One lamb, one chicken. They had no lamb. The chicken was tough and dry parts cooked the... others parts not cooked. The white rice was stuck together, the white sauce was runny, very watery. The food was stale heated upin a microwave. The salad was drenched in dressing soggy the bread was stuff. I will be calling for a refund. The chicken wasnot even cooked it was pulled apart Read more
