I've passed this place dozens of times. Didn't even realize it was a Thai restaurant. A friend mentioned "Spice" on 7th ave.... That it was good. A franchise apparently, so i decided to give it a go. Suffice it to say that was a mistake. Let's go down thelist... DECOR 1 star, ice cold stainless steel tables, and very uncomfortable small wood round back chairs. The rest of therestaurant just looked meh. Nothing good for park slope. FOOD 1 Star. Bland bland and bland. Coconut soup had no coconut flavor.Noodle dishes had no flavor! Not enough spice, garlic, soy sauce, whatever. And definitely not enough veggies! As bad as anyaverage local Chinese takeout. SERVICE 2 stars. Just fine, if a tad slow. PRICE 1 star. Not too expensive for park slope, butcheaper/better Thai restaurants on 5th ave. a few blocks away. Lastly their portable credit card machines had no 15% tip option.Minimum 18%. They completely missed the mark on that one. I just wanted a quick and a simple dinner. I ordered summer rolls and crab... rangoons. The summer rolls were basically of bunch of shredded lettuce in a wrap. $11 is a little steep for lettuce. The crabrangoons barely had any cream cheese in them and they were super greasy. Couldn?t even absorb the grease out of them with thenapkins they DIDN?T provide even though I asked for utensils and napkins. Not going there ever again!! Read more
ASK FOR UTENSILS, WHEN THEY DELIVER. Maybe is a job site,or people just move in. All takeout give out basic utensils. waited 30... minutes for it. Food got cold. The rice size are for children, adult is going hunger. Read more
Heard about this spot, almost went out to eat there, but decided to just order in? Most of it was decent, ain?t gonna lie. Me... and my girl got some wings, some shrimp dumplings, pad see ew with shrimp, and fried snapper with red massaman curry. The onlyreason I ordered from here is cause my go-to spot was closed, it was a Monday. But whatever, I open my bag of food and look atmy ?fried snapper? and it?s a whole tilapia. Pictures attached. Idk how much it was, but definitely more than it was worth. Itook a bite just to taste and confirm, but I was already sure when I looked at it. My girl tasted it too. They DEFINITELY soldme a tilapia and advertised it as a snapper, that?s crazy! Never ordering from them again, and definitely never going to eatthere. The curry sauce was good though, and it came with some coconut rice that was weirdly packed but still tasty, but I wasexpecting a decent fish and they played me! ???? Read more
I?d ordered two drunk man noodles, one extra spicy, both came with regular spicy. Ordered curry puffs, got steamed veggies. Also... got a side of COLD brown rice to go with one of my dishes. ??????????? The food itself (that we?d actually ordered) was ok. Iordered through Uber Eats and when I called the restaurant to confirm my order was picked up because it was delayed half anhour, the lady who answered had never seen or heard of my order. Came here with a colleague and the food was ok. Not anything special, I would of enjoyed a Popeye's Chicken sandwich over their... Pad Thai. Asked CoCo (he said his name was CoCo)(CoCo is in the green shirt in picture#3) the server to explain the selectionof the lunch menu and the guy got an attitude with me when I asked him about the different selections. Poor customer serviceminus good food equals a 1 star. Then he tells me the fountain ginger ale is the same as a can of Seagram's ginger ale $3.00 Itold him that makes no sense for such a mark up for fountain soda. He says sorry I don't have fountain soda, only the can. Itook the can with a glass of ice. Then they mixed up the placement of our appetizers and my friend ate mine. So I asked for areplacement. CoCo brings out the replacement appetizer with a screw face and slams down the plate. You lucky I gave you a $1tip. I got sick from your food a few hours later so I will be calling the NYC health department. I hope the owner reads thisreview because you need help. Friendly staff, clean, place, food was both tastey and ok. The Drunken Noodles I ordered was described as spicy, however it was... bland, no kick, I had to add a lot of spicy sauce to it. The staff is slow and seem over worked but for no reason since it is afairly small size restaurant. I like the pina colada, was sweet and refreshing. The appetizers were the best part. I recommendgetting drinks and appetizers. Pluses: food arrives fast and hot, It's a draw. I recommend, but warn staff is friendly but needsto focus on you. Read more
Been to Thailand 10+ times and was craving it on our trip to NYC. Can confirm it?s legit Thai food! Highly recommend
