Met up with a girlfriend for a quick lunch. Easily got a table on a weekday afternoon. Service was incredible everyone was so... friendly. Nice local restaurant in Brooklyn. The restaurant is located in a really nice part of Boerum Hill. The townhouses around the... restaurant are beautiful. The service was excellent. The server was very good and helpful. The food was quick and it was tasty.I think everything was good but I think the best was the French toast. I feel that if you are looking for the bests Frenchtoasts in NYC this is a must. It wasn?t very sweet, just good. The sandwiches were fine but I would come back for the Frenchtoast. Boerum Hill is one of our best neighborhood in Brooklyn. Friend of mine came from South Korea to visit me & my wife in town, and... had his first dine in lunch at Rucola. Every dish was a bet to us since we had no idea what the dishes would be. However, 3 ofus cleared the entire dishes in 15min! Totally amazing food and drinks! Person who served us mistakenly charged wrong amountfor what I?ve written for the tip, but I got it back as soon as I called the restaurant. Highly recommend! Read more
I had received a gift card for Rucola before the pandemic and was so excited to finally use it to celebrate the engagement of a... friend. The restaurant itself is very cute and had great ambience. However unfortunately the food and service was a bit of aletdown. None of the mains arrived at the same time so by the time everyone had a dish, half were cold. The branzino was thestandout of the dishes we ordered, grilled perfectly with flavorful escabeche. We ordered 2 dishes of the campanelle pasta,which unfortunately the waitress forgot about one of the dishes and when it finally arrived towards the end of our meal, wasoverly salty. We had been wanting to try this restaurant and finally got a chance to visit. After calling 10 times to get on waitlist without... anyone answering the phone, we decided to just try our luck. It was pretty empty at 12pm on Saturday. Staff are friendly, butseem a little chaotic. I ordered a drink and waited for 20 mins and they still came to ask me what I want to drink. Afterfinally getting settled with drinks, we wanted to order some pasta, but they said they ran out of pasta. It's a crime that anItalian restaurant ran out of pasta, especially when they only sell one kind of pasta on Saturday morning. We ordered somesandwiches; the grilled cheese was really nice and comforting, while the roast pork was a bit dry. Bloody Mary was a littledisappointing, but the New Rider and Negroni were awesome. Perfect atmosphere, very cosy and not too loud. We had a cocktail which was delicious and a beer for drinks. Shared a burrata... started which was awesome and followed it with two pasta dishes. The pumpkin pasta was my favourite whilst my partner preferredhis herby sausage pasta. Overall, really great experience, friendly staff and delicious food. Would definitely come back again. Read more
