First, they kept me on hold for over an hour. Second, when they were on Halsey and troop the food was good. Now yesterday, ... September 2, 2022. I brought sides, since I was on the phone waiting so long I ended up frying up my own chicken. They didn\'thave potatoes salad so I took macaroni salad.when I opened the container liquid spilled all over me. I don\'t know who did thecooking, but the food didn\'t taste fresh. This is the place to get some good old southern food. The ribs are excellent. All the sides are good, you really can\'t go wrong... with any of them. I am sooooo glad they are back open. If there is a down side its the long lines to get your food but it iswell worth the wait. Read more

Traditional takeout place, recently reopened. The most entertaining food line I was in, ever.
I’m so happy they are back and open for business. I went the first day they opened and of course the line was so long but hey... it was their grand opening what else would you expect? The food is just as good as it was before. I was worried they wouldchange a recipe or two but no everything is just s I remembered. Best chop bbq sandwich in nyc! Everyone on the line braggedabout how good the food was and the memories they had of this place. The staff is amazing, attentive and very hospitable. Kept me informed of my order status, which was very nice because a lot of... places you go to your just standing around waiting with no clue on the status of your order. Also, the person who took my orderensured line by line that every item ordered was packed in the Togo bag before leaving the store. A lot of times you leave aplace all to find out they forgot a portion of your order.
