So this place used to get five stars for me. But now there seems to be a new owner who is not so friendly. Customer service is a... big part of business. I came to order a slice and noticed that there was a new business owner. When I asked him if he was a newbusiness owner he was not friendly he was not polite. Good tasting pizza or not I will not go to a place I am not welcomed. Anybusiness I have ever been to that has a new owner that owner is usually smiling, friendly and welcoming this new owner was notthat at all. Roebling Pizza is an owner-operated pizzeria slinging a fine selection of slices and pizza pies in Williamsburg. the interior is... well-maintained and welcoming--it is a small space with a limited number of seats. Roebling Pizza is very much a neighborhoodpizza spot and isn?t pretending to be anything else. you can rest assured the pizza here is good bc the pizza is for the peoplewho live in the area?it is NOT relying on gimmicks, empty social media / influencer antics, and other forms of trickery tocreate illusions of grandeur. stopped in here and thoroughly enjoyed a plain cheese slice. the pizza is a cross between aclassic NYC pizza and Neapolitan pizza. my slices was served hot?and did not disappoint. the airy crust was thinnish but firmwith some chew and crunch. this crust is where it?s at! a good layer of flavorful of sauce?that has careful balance of savoryseasoning with a touch of a sweetness. the mozzarella cheese is nice and melty without being thick or stodgy. the pizza is adefinitely made with quality ingredients?-how do I know? because quality ingredients have simple flavors that really singthrough and that you can taste in each bite. also quality ingredients don?t give you a food hangover post-eating?which is a winin my book. plain pizza slice, $3 + tip the staff is friendly and passionate about pizza. had a chance to chat with the ownerwho makes the pizza dough from scratch, and his hard work shows in how good the pizza turns out. the pizza here is a result ofhonest hard work and great artisan craft in the form of delicious eats. They don?t take card anymore. Was my favorite spot until this. I paid credit and would always tip. That isn?t enough. :( I... don?t like ordering and not taking my food. Please fix this!! I am going to miss the spicy review responses from the old owner, but the new owner is extremely nice and the pizza is still... amazing. Definitely my favorite neighborhood pizza spot. They also take cards and cash (in response to a recent reviewer whosaid they did not take cards). Read more
