I believe this establishment practices racism because all people of color have to wait last to receive their items whether their... personally ordered or whether we are working for delivery service and trying to hurry with our order understandably the wholeprocess is slow because it is a pizza shop and pizza takes time to bake however I've recorded several times of going into thisestablishment and not receiving a greeting or asking of assistance I stood in the store for 30 minutes straight without anyoneacknowledging me. The smell and taste reminds me of the 90s pizzerias, where you could buy an Italian ice slush and a slice through an open... window at the side of the shop. The delicious scent of the pizza radiates all the way up the block. The taste reminds me of mychildhood when most of the pizzerias were owned and operated by Italians. This spot and Smiling in park slope will be my go toplaces for that authentic Italian American pizza taste that I love and remember fondly from days gone by. Read more
I Won't say about Food quality it was good i will say. But the problem is if you are hungry please Don't go here for pickup. If... you have hole day you can go. They do late as hell. There is nothing at all spectacular about this pizza. I am hardly impressed. I live a 1 minute walk from this pizza place, LOVE... PIZZA, but do not get my pizza from here anymore. I have tried Rocco's pizza from this location on at least 3 occassions andalso had a sausage calzone from there... again, never ever again. Read more
we’ve ordered from them a about 4 times now and we’ve had issues with half the orders. Last time there was no chicken in... the pasta with vodka sauce with chicken added (and yes i checked that it was supposed to have chicken) that we paid for. Thistime we ordered at 8:50 with expected delivery 9:20. We waited 20 minutes last delivery time before calling to check, as it wasa friday night, and we were told that the food was ready but it just hadn’t gone out. Roll around to 10:30 and the food showsup PIPPING hot. Definitely JUST made. It would have been more appreciated if they had just been honest and said they missed theorder and would prepare it and send it out. It was most upsetting as part of the order was for my 5yo son, who in the meantimefell asleep waiting for his mini personal pizza to arrive. Fast, efficient service--was in and out in under 5. Prices are pretty average. Always love a solid neighborhood pizza spot! The... famous grandma slice was not available when I came in. Plain slice: Crust is crisp and flaky on the outside, stretchy on theinside. The cheese and tomato don't stick out flavor-wise...not necessarily a bad thing. It's one of those where all the flavorsmeld together into one tasty entity. Slightly more herbaceous than the average plain. Well-seasoned. White slice: See above.Mozzarella comes through very rich and savory. Pillows of super sweet, fluffy ricotta float on top, nicely countering thesaltiness below. I hit mine with red pepper flakes to wake things up. Delicious! Sicilian: Generous melty stretchy cheese andsauce! Tomato sauce is neutral, neither especially tangy nor sweet.
