The owner of this place gave me the worst experience, last Saturday morning. I was getting something to eat for breakfast, as I... was vending for an event in the building on that day. I went over to the restaurant to see what they had. They had doughnuts, also the smaller version of the doughnuts as well. I rang the bell and the owner came to serve me. I asked the owner what are inthe doughnuts and he explained what was in them. They had regular sized filled doughnuts for $3 and small little versions of itfor $1.50. I was curious about the smaller version cause they looked very small. I asked him how much donuts will I get if I gotthe smaller version and he told me just only one. As soon as he saw my reaction, he suggested that I should go to a cheapercoffee shop nearby, but I didn?t know anything about the area and I had an event to vend for. He asked what I was selling and Itold him art. Then he asks me if ?I was to give you $50, would I give him all the art?? I said no, then he said to me that if Ican?t afford it, I shouldn?t buy it. I told him that I?m going to buy something because I don?t know the area well, I had aevent to do, and I was hungry. He started to argue to himself in Italian and asked another employer to serve me. I ended upbuying two doughnuts and a small coffee which came up to $11 and that?s it. One thing for sure is that I?m never buying foodfrom there ever again, which such lack of courtesy coming from a business like them. Read more

The Margarita had a soft, chewy crust which was unusual for a wood fired pizza. The mozzarella was fresh and so was the tomatoes... used in the sauce. The basil was a nice finishing touch. If one finds themselves at the Brooklyn Navy Yard give this place atry. Read more

Their pizza is wonderful. Great, quality neapolitan in the Navy Yard. You can see the ingredients they use from where you order,... and it's all very high-quality stuff - and it comes through. So glad to have them close by! Read more

While the whole building is great, the Pizza Yard fed me the cleanest tasting pizza I've had. Each of the simple ingredients Had... their flavors pop and harmonized together very well. The crispy yet soft dough, the fruity tomato sauce, and the cheese with asatisfying chew. They also had fantastic service, explaining clearly how they have no nuts or sesame, allowing me to feed mydaughter the same delicious pizza. They also have a large window to see into their kitchen, and my little girl was delighted towatch them masterfully prepare the pizza. Read more

I have no clue where theae 5 star reviews came from? Family? Friends? This was by far one of my top two worst pizza experiences.... Blandness! $14 for a margherita pie with not even a pinch of salt or any other seasoning. I gave one star for the crust. Read more

Excellent pizza, excellent coffee, excellent pastry, just like the ones I used to have in Italy. Pizza Yard feels my need of... good quality italian treats. Chicco, the owner, is there in the morning, making cappuccinos and entertaining his crowd. Myfavorite is to stop by in the morning and have a cappuccino with cornetto alla crema (custard croissant) or cornetto albicocca(apricot croissant) Highly recommended. Read more
