Delicious food (blackened salmon ceasar & stuffed salmon) and friendly service. We even got to enjoy a live jazz performance... while dining. The only critique would be that the meals did take a while to arrive. I hope to come back for their happy hourspecials. Read more
Warning for anyone ordering takeout. Menu online shows Catfish is served with two sides. I called and placed a order for... blackened Catfish and choose two sides, collard greens and asparagus. When I arrived I was charged $24 for the Catfish only and$16 for the two sides. The waitress then informed me that the Catfish did not come with two sides, the online menu was notupdated which I should have been informed of when I called to place the order. The portion size of the catfish and sides is notworth the price. Definitely will not be ordering takeout here again. As far as taste the collard greens and asparagus wasgood however the blackened Catfish was salty and oily. Read more
I was looking for a good restaurant and somehow found a GREAT restaurant. The live music, decor, and energy create a vibe and... it's a great place for a date night out. The food sometimes can take a while but that's because they're making the food withL-??-V-E. Go when you have time to sit down and enjoy. Them grits!!!!! So creamy, so good. The catfish was perfectly cooked. Literally melted in my mouth. And the crab cakes were... crisp, moist and flavorful. I recommend this place 100%. Will be coming back for sure. Read more
The staff at Nostrand social are very attentive and very gracious. The food was superb. I had the rasta pasta with fried chicken... breast twice in one week. This is a true artists locale. Every Sunday, Brunch, live music. Amazing!!! I came on Billie Holiday performance. Melvin was... incredible. Keyboards and bass, incredible. All you can drink for two hours, incredible. All you can eat incredible. The grits?More than incredible. The service incredible. The community vibe, neighborhood vibe, Black owned business - EVERYTHING here isincredible... Food, drinks, artistry, art, music, poetry, cello... CELLO!!!
