Nicandra's reminds me of this little place in Rome that specializes in takeout pasta. They do a great job of keeping the menu... simple. I first started off with the ribs which are a signature dish here. Then I went with the fettuccine ragu and pecorino.Finished off my night with a creme brulee (chef's kiss). As I said, pretty straightforward, simple, fresh pasta. I am definitelycoming back to try the other items on the menu. Read more

I used to love the old byob and table service, but Im still rly pleased with the new concept they?ve gone with. Grab and go is... better for their business and most people?s time. The pasta is still top notch and the service is always great:) love thisplace- good food and memories to be had here. A must try in the swhick. Read more

An all time pasta great for us. Unpretentious surroundings set the stage for inventive flavors and great service. Their menu has... a lot of great ragus and we had a phenomenal scialiiati ragu? but the all stars were an agnolotti stuffed with ricotta and anincredible pesto / candied walnuts sauce plus an appetizer of espresso glazed ribs. This is hands down the best handmade pasta joint you?ll find for many blocks. Dreamy textures and beautiful flavors, and the... couple that run it are the best. Always welcoming, always prompt, you feel at home with them. Their new grab-n-go menu is a truesteal at just $13, the prices went down but the quality and quantity are the same! This is my favorite spot to get pasta in all the of the city. I must have been here over 50 times since they opened up in 2017.... It?s a nice small restaurant that serves everything homemade. I would get their duck Pappardale or lamb Raghu pasta. Thelinguine with shrimp also incredible. All of the pastas and appetizers and desserts are really good. They also have BYOB, whichmakes an amazing place like this even better. Read more

I really enjoyed the ribs for starters. Fell right off the bone! Also, the pasta was refreshing and experimental with different... flavors. Squid ink pasta was the move. If you want to drink you'll need to visit a bodega and BYOB. Get a reservation! Read more

So so good! Had the boar shoulder... To die for! And the ribs to start. Charred Broccolini on the side. Little weird with the... plastic silverware and paper cups/plates. Covid is mostly over in Bushwick, so not sure what the deal is. Taking a star forthat. Hope they get back to "normal" soon. ???? Read more
