Excellent food here! The dishes are unique, small plate style. Try to get seated upstairs on the patio. We liked the cod in... coconut broth, combined with the shiitake fried rice. For small plates, the crab rangoon was potentially the best I’ve everhad. The cauliflower buns were great. The roti was okay, a little too crispy for my taste and not much cashew sauce. Themocktail Tokyo Rose is alright, a little too carbonated and not much rose flavor. Overall, we’d highly recommend Monarch andwill be back! Read more
Supreme! Excellent food (only had a chance to take a picture of our appetizer (real crab rangoon) because had to enjoy the rest... of the meal :). Menu is simple with various choices. Dishes are meant to be shared. Highly recommend coconut lime cod, porkbuns and baby bok choy. Service is good and stylish decor. Read more

UMMM THIS IS THE BEST RESTAURANT IN NYC ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? We devoured everything as soon as it hit the table. I can’t wait... to come back here. The FOOD: Here’s what you should order: Chicken Dumplings (these are crack), calamari (i don’t even likesquid but the sauce that comes with this is also crack), the pork fried rice, garlic chicken & for dessert the Matcha Icecreamsandwich. It’s family style so you share all the entrees, If you’re like us & eat a LOT, I recommend ordering 2 ofeverything. I almost NEVER leave reviews, but had to drop in and say how incredible my meal at Monarch was. We ordered: Pork Belly Buns -... absolutely delicious. The bun was so soft and the pork belly was perfectly done Ginger Chicken Dumplings- Heaven CauliflowerFried Chicken - Really, really great. The breading wasn't too heavy and the sauce was great Cold Sesame Noodles- Really nicetake on the takeout staple The interior was lovely and warm, and the service was attentive. 10/10 Read more
