This s my local, and I'm grateful to have an option this good so nearby. It's not a Michelin-starred kind of place nor the... equal of long-ago Mina's in Woodside, Queens, where (thanks to them knowing everything about cooking and nothing aboutrestaurant realities) you'd get amazing made to order from scratch meals, if you had an hour to wait. But after maybe a couplehundred meals from them over the years, I'm telling you this: they're *way* better than average, with food notably superior to90-95% of their higher rated local-joint peers. That quality is consistent over time and over the very extensive menu. Flavorsare very good; spices are used in the copious quantities appropriate to this cuisine, with fresh curry leaves etc. Would theybe ranked higher if they dumbed those flavors down to "India-lite" as so many places do? No idea if that's the issue, but while3.8 could be a reasonable rating if we actually reserved 5.0 for the price-no-object best of the best, it's ludicrous when somany mediocre, similarly-priced Indian places throughout the city get a half point more. An entree with rice is a solid dinner;no need to add a soup or app to have enough food - so the value is solid too. But order via phone or in person to avoid theunfortunate fee for ordering online, which I think is a pretty recent change. Read more

Came here for nice dinner before a Nets game since it's only 2 blocks away from Barclays. Started with the lollypop chicken... which was great with the special sauce. Then we got an Onion Naan which was fantasticly made, with a Salmon Vindaloo and ChickenMalai. The Vindaloo was exquisite, great flavor with generous chunks of Salmon, and the Chicken was cooked well with greatcoconut flavor and actual coconut flakes in the curry with great portions of meat. Very pleased with the quality of food since Iget this type of food all the time for years in Long Island/Queens so I have a good idea on how to compare to other experiences. Also served a complimentary dessert which was a great touch. We ate so good here! We had the chicken tikka masala (of course!), goat curry (the fresh cumin one), and the shrimp madras…all... wiped clean with some cheese naan! Our server was the friendliest and so attentive to every detail, they’re so nice! Read more

The chicken samosas and the Lamb Tikka Masala were absolutely amazing. It was so good we had to go there two days in a row. The... best Indian food in Brooklyn for sure. Very affordable as well. Read more

I compare all Indian/Bangladeshi food places to my mum's (Bangladeshi) food so I can be overly critical. The food here was good,... they're generous with the ingredients (shrimp and lamb were plentiful in the dishes I ordered). Really good service, attentive. Read more

Pretty good Indian food. I had the Lamb keebob to start. My girlfriend and I both shared the Chicken Vindaloo and the Tandoori... shrimp. The shrimp wasn't my favorite, but the chicken was tender and the Vindaloo was insanely spicy. Be careful with this one. They were super busy with deliveries so that tells me they are popular in the neighborhood and the food is fresh because they gothrough it quickly. Read more
