My fiancé and I order this consistently when we have nothing to cook at home and need dinner after working late during the... week. We get the whole rotisserie combo and then make meals out of it for lunches or even another dinner. For about $30, you canget ~4 meals out of the combo! I have high standards and a sophisticated palate... needless to say, Lula Bird hit the mark! I enjoyed the collards, cornbread... ????, chicken (but it could certainly have used more flavorful seasoning), and the potatoes. Everything was fresh and arrivedlooking great. I wish I got a photo before we tore it up but this was the best delivered meal I?ve ever had. I got the 1/4 chicken with rice,... squash and cornbread and every single thing tasted like a home cooked delicious meal. The corn bread is sweet and delicious. Thechicken was moist and flavourful with a big serving. I cannot believe this gems been in my neighbourhood and I only just triedit. A great lunch spot with varying side dishes throughout the week. Our second time we tried the eggplant stew, collard greensand cous cous. All still delicious. The roasted squash has been my favourite side so far. Read more
If you love herbaceous, flavorful, perfectly seasoned chicken and sides, then this is the restaurant for you! One of my favorite... finds in Brooklyn and is surely a staple if you?re in the area. I order once a week at least and try to time it around myfavorite sides. They rotate special sides that are easy to taste how each one they care about. Also their cornbread is out ofthis world! I?m trying to figure out the spice combination on the chicken that gives it such an amazing flavor while alsofeeling clean on the pallete. The potatoes are the must have go to and if you?re in on a Friday, I recommend the CousCous.Another entree that will blow you away is their short rib! The flavor in one serving with vegetables soaked in the drippings isheavenly! Only downfall is there?s been no seating, so you have to take it home. Combo was a great deal! I would have given them 5 stars if they would have got my order right. I arrived home to see Mac and... cheese with cornbread instead of potatoes and rice. The chicken was moist and plenty of flavor. Also the guy at the window waspatient and helpful. Read more
