Reviews for Leyenda in Brooklyn, NY
Great cocktails, delicious Latin American food. Stylish, fun, great (and quick!) service. A real gem.
Top tier service! They have front & backyard outdoor seating that despite the heat, was nice. Highly recommend ordering the... plantain/pernil dish, I?d say get two! It is the best thing I have ever had. Loved that they put the guacamole in the skin ofthe avocado. Also, appreciated their use of cans to hold the silverware, just brilliant! Will definitely be back w/ friends &family. Read more
Had an excelled dinner at Leyenda with my wife on a Friday night. The steak was amazing and we really enjoyed the guacamole and... salsa. However, the churros were the star of the show! Just FYI the restaurant is not accepting gift cards purchased throughsquare. Read more
Delicious brunch experience! We came right when they opened for brunch on Sunday. The server and bartender were very friendly.... We got the Leyenda Bloody with mezcal (highly recommend, savory), the Kickstarter (wish for stronger coffee flavor), Honeydewgazpacho (super good and refreshing), Al Pastor tacos (delicious) and pupusas with chicharrones (good, but wouldn?t orderagain). We?re definitely coming back and bringing more friends!!! Read more
Post Covid still amazing authentic and same vibes. Glad they are doing well but libations are the highlight. Anything Mescal you... are in safe hands. Tried the Chispa this time. Very refreshing ! Read more
The food here is amazing. The short skirt steak was phenomenal and the chimichurri balanced the steak. The steak was well cooked... and not over cooked. I ordered it medium rare and it was perfect. The tinga pollo tacos were great. The tacos were very juicywhich made it a little hard to eat, but still amazing. I ordered a Paloma too and the cocktails were made perfectly. Read more
Ranked as the world?s #100 bar in 2021, and thus went here for a try. The restaurant itself really has a strong holiday vibe.... The cups and decorations here all have the Christmas vibe. The cocktails here has a lot of special flavor, herbs and spices, which are quite different from classic cocktails. For the drink, I would say Tia Mia is really special. The mezcal flavor isreally strong, and it really resembles to Moscow mule in my opinion. The cocktails are rather cheap here (~$15), but you mightneed to wait in line for getting a seat. Although there are quite a number of choices in NYC, it is definitely a greatbar/restaurants near downtown Brooklyn. Read more
