Really liked the beer, but the food was not very good. The empanada was very thick with little meat inside, it was also very... greasy. The chicharron was not good either, it was drench in oil - yes I know, they are supposed to be greasy but not take abite and your mouth be filled with oil instead of meat. This place is okay. The wine is cheap and I like the fact that you can get a bottle and sit outside. The tapas were reasonably... priced but not very tasty. Very Americanized tapas. But they do the job when your drinking and need a snack. Also the empanadasare super bready. Absolutely NO MEAT inside. So weird. Read more
La Napa I love you, and I would also love for you to definitively improve your take out/delivery order experience or not do it... at all. Every order I?ve made since my first order has made me question whether or not to order again, but the chicharroneswhich are never messed up keep me coming back (though it?s been about 6 months since my last order since that was a badexperience). Last night I ordered shrimp arepa and a double cheeseburger. Ate the arepa. My god. Chef put their foot in it.Tonight I took out my double cheeseburger. Instead I found a double?burger. No cheese, no bacon. I can kind of forgive theforgotten bacon but I don?t know a soul in their life who has ordered a double burger- it?s not even on the menu. Someone had tolook at this and feel like it was missing something. Sometimes the burger tastes handmade, sometimes it looks and tastes likebulk frozen patties from the way back of the freezer. My previous arepa experience scarred me and had me questioning the otherpositive reviews. But the problem is just that your kitchen is marvelously inconsistent. Came for dinner on a weekday and had a great time! We sat in their very nice outdoor seating booth. You can?t sit inside right... now. What we ordered: Cheese arepas, pulled pork arepas - both great. Love the crispy arepa exterior. Lots of guacinside. Patatas bravas - crispy chunky potatoes with yummy sauce tossed pretty evenly. Spinach - garlicky spinach. Nothingspecial but we love a veggie side. Yucca balls - so good! Creamy inside and delicious sauce! Mushroom croquettes - thefavorite of the table. Creamy and savory inside. Wish it came in a plate of 3 or 4 because they were so tiny! We also got apitcher of passion fruit margarita for $30. It was perfectly icy and came with the margarita rim salt on the side which we justsprinkled into our glasses as we drank. Read more
