It's a terrible shame this Brooklyn institution has come to this. I ordered a small order of ribs and my friend had the rib... combination meal both of which were burnt dry meat. The restaurant is only take out and incredibly busy so I can't understandwhy the meat either was old and reheated to burnt to blacked char or cooked so long that it was over done anyway it was awful nopoint in calling to complain because we went in to order and it's a cash business so who am I one of what I believe is anotherunhappy customers . I've been living in Brooklyn 12 years and I remember when Kum Kau was a great Chinese restaurant I wouldactually crave the food now it's one of the worst neighborhood Chinese take out. Read more

Ordered once for lunch on a weekday and it was great. Ordered once for dinner on a weekend was horrible. For the bad experience... it felt like I got someone else's order that they "Doctored" to be mine - wontons in a sweet and sour broth, chicken barelycoated in general tso's sauce. I might try again for lunch but never again for dinner. Also cash only . Read more

Hey it's a fast food Chinese spot. But the food is fresh, they change the oil and trust me that matters and the people behind... the counter really care both about the food and you as a person/customer. Historically you can beat Kam Kau. This spot isfamous in Brooklyn good circles and is known for its famous oven baked shrimps, BBQ ribs and lo mein of all types. You can skipthe others and cones here for consistent tasting food, well prepared and cooked like Mom's if she came from China. Try thechicken wings, the beef/chicken sticks and the shrimps with black bean sauce is incredible. Highly recommend this restaurant. Read more

I ordered a small vegetable fried rice and two vegetable rolls. The price was good the food was terrible. The vegetable fried... rice was only had bits of scallions, bean sprouts and egg. No peas, broccoli, or carrots. If I had ordered plain fried rice itwould have been fine, I think.? This place once had great food no. What a shame Read more

Food's usually good and the price is very reasonable. Waiting time is also good. I meant to ask what happened to their... restaurant. I'd had many family and date night dinners there. Sorry it's closed. Read more

One of the best chinese restaurants in Brooklyn, they take pride in their food, and u can taste it. Just that level of... discipline in 2022 to protect their reputation, and name make them 5 stars...but I give them 4 stars because traditionally it'snatural unhealthy, but this is one of the best places to get it from Read more

I used to come here all the time before. I decided to take a ride and ordered food ahead of time. I picked up my food and when I... got home the food was horrible. The beef and broccoli didn?t taste good and the egg roll was so hard. I was so disappointed andwill not be going back. This was one of my best Chinese restaurants and told everyone to come here I will be looking for anotherplace to order. Read more

decent fried rice. was really good on being spicy but for $7.50 i was disappointed to see absolutely no veggies besides rice.... like the one egg is a nice touch- but that's pretty cheap to throw just onion (mad cheap) and an egg in the rice. just twopieces of broccoli woulda made me happier. but there was zero. def come back for a lunch special one day.
