Can?t give them 5 stars. We visited from out of state. Our phones died. Mine was dead upon arrival he had about 2%. They did... not have one physical menu on site. We were just told to hurry up and look at the menu to decide what we wanted by ourwaitress.Thinking if this could?ve been my seven-year-old father without a smart phone if he would have been able to maneuverthrough that. Unrealistic, in this day and time you always need to be adaptable to whomever walks in your door. Oxtailflatbread was very good I believe Oxtail gravy would have been better than a tomato sauce. That would have made itgreat. Drinks were great. Jerk chicken was great. Snapper was good. However I don?t believe that they seasoned the inside ofthe fish. The vegetables were very good. The rice and peas left so much to be desired. I believe that they needed more garlic,onion, scallion, coconut milk and seasoning. It was a bit bland. I believe an American could have been satisfied. Caribbeanpeople? No. 22% gratuity added to the bill. We usually tip 25%. We we felt as though 20% was a bit much from our subparwaitress. I didn?t catch her name intentionally to spare her. Not even two days before I went to Kokomo I was saying how I need to walk in my neighborhood instead of riding my bike. A friend... of mine asked me to photograph a birthday party given for her mom and as I usually do I arrived early. My first amazement washow close it is to my place and I didn?t know. Everything after that was awesome. The staff is young vibrant and professional. Imanaged to catch the kitchen door open and it was spotless and that?s saying a lot considering the place was packed. They had alive dj spinning some fire tunes and the food was awesome. Yes it?s vegetarian friendly also. The coffee was good and I likedthe cup it was served in. Great place for dinner with friends. For starters we had the oxtails flatbread and wings - loved both. As for main I took the... oxtails dish since it?s very popular , it tasted amazing but I thought that they could have given at least one or two morepieces. Next time I want to try the salmon. Great experience!! Wonderful service and amazing food. Kokomo has many vegan and vegetarian options and a large variety of... foods. The waits were quick, and the food was delicious. I have to say our evening at Kokomo was absolutely fabulous! The ambience was spot on. This restaurant is everything you need it... to be, live DJ, beautiful decor and some of the most tastiest Caribbean food. Kokomo is not only a great date night spot butIt?s also a great girls night out as well or dinner with friends. We ordered the snapper with peas and rice, the wings, tacosand the oxtail pizza. The red snapper was absolutely delicious and huge and quantity. It?s also at market price. The wings weretasty though I would?ve liked it a tad bit crispier, and the peas and rice were perfect and the tacos were very delicious andthe salmon was cooked to perfection. The oxtail pizza was very tasty but lacked and fell short with the amount of oxtail. Forthe price I wish the pizza had more oxtail on it instead of small fragments of oxtail. The cocktails were also the highlight ofthe night, my husband and myself ordered three a piece so that could already tell you how delicious they were. Overall I wouldhighly recommend coming here, I would?ve given them five stars had it not been for the lack of oxtails on the pizza and acrispier wing. Read more
We had an excellent dining experience here at Kokomo from the moment we walked in the staff was pleasant & engaging. The... ambiance, music, cocktails & delicious caribbean dishes with a spin on it was on point. I'm not a dessert person but others inmy party commented that some additional dessert choices would've been nice. It was my mother's 85th birthday & the staff cateredto her needs.
