It's very hard for me to give a restaurant 5 stars. Joloff was amazing and the overall experience earned it 5 stars. It is... decorated in a very eclectic way that identifies its Senegalese origins. Mariam the daughter of the owner and waitressextraordinaire patiently explained the dishes and made amazing recommendations. The ginger lemon and Joloff cocktails wereAMAZING! We ended up ordering a couple of appetizers (fried yuca and plantains. For our entrees we ordered the national fishdish with Joloff rice, a chicken dish, lamb Chops, and mixed vegetables in a delicious peanut sauce. The ambiance and food at this local, black owned restaurant is phenomenal. I will definitely be visiting again to try more of... the delicious dishes they offered, they even have vegetarian and vegan options. Also the Joloff cocktail is a must try.
