Always on the hunt for Indonesian restaurant and this one was pretty good on a few dishes. Got the rijstaffle for two and liked... the soup with chili sauce, chicken curry, lamb, beef rendang and the pandans dessert. Love the flavors. But I always try a gadogado at every Indonesian place and thought this one was too saucey and the sauce lacked depth in flavor. The staff was supersweet and nice! Read more

The food was pretty good. We got the Gado Gado ?salad? - not bad but really smothered in peanut sauce and didn?t look much like... the salad depicted on the website. Also tried the sayur santen, which was basically tempura with tofu in curry. It was tasty butseemed super unhealthy (the ?lightly? battered description was a bit surprising) and the portion size was pretty small for$17. As many other reviews stated, the service was extremely slow - they seemed even more understaffed than anywhere else wehave eaten in recent memory. at one point we paused for like a second during ordering and the server walked away in the middleof taking our order to attend to another customer. We probably would only do takeout here instead of eating in given the serviceissues. Read more

so nice finding this place after being on the hunt for indonesian restaurants here! i ordered the terong balado, which is... traditionally eggplant fried in a spicy red sambal balado (fried chili sauce with garlic and onions). the waitress told me thattheir version was more similar to a sweet, spicy, and sour sauce, which did end up being the case and actually tasted a bit morelike saus mentega (brown sauce) in my opinion! however, it was still extremely delicious and tasted close to home. thecombination of deep fried eggplant and tofu was fantastic. the service was lovely ???? really looking forward to return and trymore of the menu :-))) Read more

What a wonderful feast! After watching a video from Eater about authentic Indonesian food, we were delighted to find such a gem... right here in Brooklyn. This was our first visit (already planning our return) and we ordered the tapas for two with an extralumpia appetizer to start. This was a perfect introduction to the cuisine with incredibly satisfying samples of their meat andveggie-based entrees. To top things off, the service here is warm and the hospitality is genuine. Honestly, if you're evencasually curious, do yourself a favor and grab lunch or dinner. They even make their sambal fresh, in-house... Read more

This place was fantastic. The food was absolutely amazing and there were so many great looking food options it was hard to... decide. Not only was the food wonderful, but the service was out of this world. The staff was so warm and seemed genuinely gladwhen we told them that we enjoyed our meal. Highly recommend! Read more

This place has a very friendly and homely feel. It is seemingly the only decent indonesian cuisine kitchen in the area. If... you've never experienced Indonesian food and would like to give it a try this is the place to do it. Take my advice and orderthe tapas (chef tasting menu) which is a combination of 15 plates being served on a warming plate, quite inexpensive, and willeasily fill two people. The fried banana dessert is AMAZING! Read more
