Service was great, food was good, but not good enough to justify the price, in my opinion. I wanted to show my daughter that... when you pay more, you get into another dimension of food experience. Well we didn't quite get there. Food was well prepared butI was hoping for something more sophisticated, more "special". You get a meat (or fish) and a sauce, and whatever side you orderwith it. Food was alright, my cocktail was good, and the server was great. I do not understand the other positive reviews. The food was bland, dry, and horribly overpriced. I got the duck with mushrooms... and there was no flavor and almost no mushrooms. Just a dry piece of duck with a small dollop of sauce. And it was $36. On topof that, the ambiance is awful. From the outside, and based on the prices, it seems like a fairly upscale and cozy neighborhoodrestaurant. But inside is in disrepair, with the tables literally falling apart and a gaudy neon sign casting an awkward lighton the dining area. Very intimate vibe, great for dates or small groups. Great selection of wines and the food is amazing. Portions were perfect.... And our waiter was so amazing and thoughtful. My friend was visiting from KS and he had a special desert brought for us. Ican’t wait to bring more people here. Read more
Absolutely amazing food served in a cozy setting with great ambiance. The staff was courteous and attentive. I highly recommend... the Persian Lime Pie for dessert. Tart, sweet, and creamy custard over a crumbly, buttery crust. Read more
Delicious meal on a Friday night. We got reservations on open table the day before. When we got there, it was crowded, but we... were seated within 5 minutes. The service was top notch and food was great. We got the curry pea soup, yak stickers, West Indianshrimp (this was the only dish that was a bit disappointing because the shrimp was overcooked) and the rabbit tagliatelle.Finished it off with a great mud pie dessert! Such a great hidden gem of a restaurant! One of a few spots that offers most of their menu as small plates or large portions,... which allows you to try a bunch of items! We ordered the lobster penne, shrimp with sausage, rabbit tagliatelle, and the NYStrip with apple chutney. The lobster penne and steak with apple chutney were my top two, but everything was really delicious.They also started us with bread and olive oil - I could have eaten an entire loaf of the bread!! Also, my friend booked us fora table outside, but the weather was not the best when we went and they sat us at the bar without a problem. Would definitely goback to try out more items on the menu.
