Walked in there without any reservations on a busy Saturday night. We were able to be seated right away by the owner who was... nice. Sat at the bar and had couple drinks with some marinated olives. Highly recommend this place for a romantic date night (potentially even when it’s cold outside bc the outdoor setup seemed... like it would hold up). Definitely get the artichokes to start, and we loved the salad if you’re looking for something on thelight side. We split the mushroom gnocchi and the pesto pasta - Both incredible. I cannot believe I have lived around the area for so long and only now I have noticed this place. My only complaints are that... what they call "gnocchi" are actually "pallotte" and the Negroni I ordered was a bit too sweet and didn't have much alcohol init, but besides that, this was by far one of the best dinners I have had in NYC so far. The food and wine selection is simplyoutstanding, everything was executed to absolute perfection down to the smallest details. The combinations are gorgeous,powerful, and tasteful. The service was also extremely good, friendly and attentive, never overbearing. And last, the restaurantis so beautiful and romantic, the old school vibe makes it even more charming and elegant. I was lucky enough to go on aWednesday, when they have a super good jazz quartet play during dinner. People here are complaining about the prices, but theyclearly have no clue about how expensive and refined some of the items on the menu are when purchased from adistributor/producer. Frankly, I thought that charging an extra $24 for almost 500gr of freshly hand cut pata negra prosciuttowas a bit low. And the whole presentation of that tagliere justified all of the money anyway. Planning a birthday party in NYC is no small feat. Not only do you have to worry about finding a great venue, but you consider... ambiance, food & drink options, cost, etc. I’ve hosted my birthday at various venues across the city, but I can confidentlysay that hosting at Have & Meyer (for my 30th, no less) was THE BEST experience to date. From the beginning of my outreach, Ifelt well taken care of. Dani and Ale provided accurate and timely information regarding my party options, all with a friendlyand warm tone/attitude. And the actual night, the private party room was gorgeously decorated, the food & wine fantastic andservice superb! My guests were blown away by Have & Meyer and I’m incredibly grateful!
