Sigh?I never like to be the person to write a negative review, especially for a place that I?ve always had positive experiences... with, but here we are. I went on Flatbush Counter?s website and ordered what I always do: the steak + sweet frites bowl and ameyer lemonade for delivery. When I received my order and opened up the bowl, I noticed it was very different than what Itypically get with the steak + sweet frite bowl (which I?ve ordered at least 10 times). The two sauces/dressings that come withit weren?t present as well as the mushrooms. I didn?t want to make a big deal of it, so I decided to ignore it and start eating.I took 2-3 bites of the greens and it was completely gone. The greens usually make up half of the bowl, but this time, it waslike 75% sweet potato frites. Again, frustrating, but not enough to make a stink about. Then I realized that my lemonade wasmissing. That?s what finally drove me to call the store. I called and tried to explain that my drink was missing. The person onthe phone said they ran out and could replace it with another one. Since they would be delivering this, I figured I might aswell mentioned the other issues with the order. And that?s when things went left. The guy on the phone was arguing with me whatdoes and doesn?t come with the bowl. I got fed up and asked if I could speak to a manager, so I could speak to someone else. Themanager was barely apologetic and told me I could get the missing items (e.g. drink, sauce, and extra greens) but I would haveto either pick it up myself then or tomorrow. I was confused and he basically said that they don?t have delivery drivers andeveryone who delivers is third party. It wasn?t until someone volunteered to deliver it that he relented. The guy who deliveredwas apologetic but it?s still frustrating that the manager was so argumentative and didn?t seem to care to right their wrongs ina way that didn?t inconvenience the customer. We stumbled across this place just by walking by. Really cool outdoor seating with a counter in front and backyard seating with... plenty of space inside too. The French Dip sandwich is hands down the best sandwich I have ever had. We also ordered thehomemade lemonade which is a must have too. This place is definitely going to become a favorite go to! Stopped in to pick up some takeout on Sunday afternoon. Amazing fresh food which is prepared with local ingredients. Lots of... salads,bowls and some soups.Particularly enjoyed the kale caesar salad, chickpeas meatballs and miso salmon burger. Greatneighborhood joint. Will definitely be returning soon. Happily surprised at how great the food is. Saw this place open last year and now has a steady traffic of people. Ordered online... and food came at a decent time, well packed. Miso Salmon bowl: healthy and pretty amount of food. Fresh veg & love the squash.The salmon is overly marinated for my taste but still good Crispy Chicken: omg! So good & generous slab of friend chickenbreast. Highly recommend! Great value and one of the better chicken sandwiches I?ve tried. Will order again. Sweet potatofries: I liked that they wrapped this in brown paper inside the box for delivery to keep it warm. Good flavor and fair amount. Amazing spot, great people, great prices, great food! Everything is fresh, reasonably priced, and delicious. I recommend... everything, especially the lamb bacon, egg and cheese. Generous portions of food and delicious sauces to go with it. Both the steak and brisket are pretty decent.
