My husband was watching videos of the best burger in NYC and has ruled out that we should go to Emily last Saturday. I agreed... because it's been on my list for years, so booked via Resy and off we went to Brooklyn. The vibe of the place was nice andrelaxing. Music was good too. The rating is mostly driven by the burger. We've both asked for medium but it was still mediumrare and lots of pink. I don't mind, I have my steak medium rare anyway. I guess I had really high expectations of their burgerbut it was just okay. I was so excited and really wished it was better. Probably just an off day but when you've been waitingfor years to finally experience it and it doesn't really meet expectations, it's quite a letdown. I visited NYC recently and stayed in Brooklyn. I had this restaurant saved on my list of "places to check out" for some time. I... dined here twice during my visit and was blown away each time. I ordered their "original pizza" with calabrian chili oil on myfirst visit, and their famous burger on my second visit. Both meals were incredible. However, sorry to say I felt the bartenderwasn't very friendly. She wasn't overly rude, but she just came across like she didn't want to be there on both visits. I felt Ihad to say "please" & "thank you" extra times because each time she came by I felt like I was upsetting her. Still, would eathere again and again. Great menu! Read more

WOW! We came here because we heard the burger was incredible and it definitely did not disappoint. This was one of if not the... best burgers I've had. I would recommend getting it done a medium or less. It was simply a burst of so many flavors that justworked together. It comes with a heaping side of the best thin fries (McDonald's style) I've had, super crunchy and salty. Allthis comes with what I assume was home made ketchup cause it too was awesome. I got a craft brew on the side (they have a fewbeers and cocktails and wines on the menu), which was nice. From the outside, Emily would not catch my eye. But I’m glad I got a recommendation, as I had a really good time there. The... music selection was great and although it got a little louder by the time I left, I was having fun and singing the songs with mytable. The dining hall is nicely decorated, but it could have some more decor. The hot wings were really good, the colony pizzareally surprised me with its honey touch in a pizza with topping that I wouldn’t think that could go well with a sweet flavoralong with them and the Emmy burger was really decadent and succulent, really a standout. I was skeptical when there was a $31 burger with limited quantities per night, but it was big enough to split among the three of... us and came with some of the crispiest fries I’ve ever had. I normally am unimpressed with burgers but this one was so full offlavor. We also got the Nguyen Wings and the colony pizza, both of which were delicious as well. Went there for lunch to try the emmy burger. Service was perfect, kind and attentive but not overwhelming. They served us at the... proper time and the burger was just spectacular. The final bill was pricey, especially after including tax and tip, but weexpected that as we knew that the Emmy burger does not come cheap. I recommend it. Read more

I was waiting for two years for the Australian border to finally open and I could jet off to the States. Emily - top suggestion... for burgers by Eaters. We made a reservation and didn’t have to wait at their original shop in Brooklyn. It’s a small placewhich prob sits 20, so make sure you plan ahead. Re the food, OUTSTANDING. Emmy burger came as described - picture perfect andamazing flavour. Never had this kinda bun ever, it’s an interesting texture the first time. The Emmy sauce was great, sat verywell with the meat and brought the whole burger together. The Wagyu patty was thick enough to retain all the juice, could reallytaste the meatiness. I also ordered the pizza, the circle one instead of the square. It was a fine peace of pie, but just finecompared to the burger. Overall experience 5 STARS. Read more

We had a great experience here. The ambiance is wonderful, and albeit small, feels very comfortable. We made a reservation about... a month in advance and the restaurant was packed, I'm not sure how accommodating they are with walk-ins. We had a special ofcarrots with ricotta and they were delicious. The dry aged burger was good, not the best burger I've had in my life but stillgood. The two pizzas we had were delicious.
