Reviews for East Harbor Seafood Palace in Brooklyn, NY

Girlfriend's relatives came in from out of town, which led us to this place (the 4th family-style Chinese restaurant I've tried... and the first in Brooklyn). I found the quality of the food superior to the other three restaurants, especially (no surprise)the seafood, of which our party got a great deal larger quantity vs. the other dishes. The lobster was especially meaty and lessgreasy than I'm used to. Cons: I wasn't the only person at our table who noticed that there were big gaps between dishes. Ittook an abnormally-long time for us to even get our soup. The place was maybe half-full. Also, they gave us two bottles of sodathat, for some reason, the servers took away at one point; even though we'd been drinking from them. Finally, for the entiretyof our dinner, they were playing some weird Chinese state propaganda channel on the TVs. Didn't effect the quality of the dinnerobviously, we just found it...unsettling. Summary: Above-average seafood, but long wait times between dishes. Read more

Went for dim sum last sun and despite arriving around 945am there was already a line out the door! The wait was reasonable (but... expect longer waits at later hours). The service was fantastic! Always attentive despite the full restaurant, changing ourplates when they saw them getting too full or dirty, and changing our tea and refilling our water before I could even ask! Thefood too was excellent! More than enough carts roaming around. Will def be back to try more dim sum as well as try the regularmenu items. Saw plates heading to larger families and it looked AND SMELLED amazing! Read more

Good dim sum; close to Hong Kong standard. Comfortable and clean surroundings with good service. They also offer free valet... parking which is great since we had a rental car. I definitely recommend this restaurant. And I really like it when they allspeak Cantonese! Read more

Best dim sum in Brooklyn hands down!! High quality, good value, very cheap prices, and no crazy wait times to get in! This place... is hands down my favourite in Brooklyn / NY area. Clean restaurant and very attentive / fast and friendly staff that alwaysreplenished water and changes our plates. Being from Vancouver where dim sum was really good, I?ve been trying to find a greatspot here in New York and this place exceeded my expectations on many levels! I tried a place in Flushing that was good, but thecommute is super far! The few dim sum places in Manhattan are mediocre at best, but this place wins on value and quality forme! Overall, great spot will definitely be a regular here. Read more

Traditional dim sum served by a friendly staff with great service. There is a valet garage available since parking is difficult... in the area. Dishes were fresh and delicious. The bill for two of us came out to $40. Highly recommended. Read more
