The pizza here is undeniably good and the dough is some of the best I’ve ever had. The issue is that the owner/chef seems a... little unstable. If he takes a liking to you, it seems that he’ll treat you very well. If not, he can be aggressively rude anddisrespectful. Read more

We had a private birthday party. The food was absolutely amazing, and Giuseppe the owner is not only the best Italian chef in... town, he is also a beautiful human! I wish you all as much fun as we had at Dough Vale. Read more

We got the Parma pizza and it was AMAZING - crispy bottom throughout, light, fresh, super flavourful! The two men working there... were so so friendly and took care of us. Highly recommend!! Read more

Is a love/hate experience. If you are looking for a great pizza, have some time spare and have sense of humor, is the right... place. If you are hungry and looking for a fast pizza, you will get disappointed. It’s a slow food concept and with a funnycharacter making the experience unique. If you focus on the pizza taste alone, is unbeatable, everything is as fresh as it canbe. Read more

A few friends were in town for my wedding a few weeks ago; where do you take someone from out of town when they're in NYC?... Pizza! I looked up spots within a short walk/bike ride and this place popped up. As someone that prides themselves of knowingall the must eat spots in their area, I was pleasantly delighted with Dough Vale. The warm welcoming atmosphere, the friendly(approaching too comfortable but not quite) service, and the beyond delicious food was truly amazing. Came back for a secondtime with my wife the other day and couldn't have been more pleased. The Gnocchi!!!! Read more

We made a reservation and showed up to a pretty rude welcome. Sat down, having brought our own beer (as stated on the site), and... when we asked for a visible bottle opener we were told no, and that they'd come take our order. Ten minutes later and still noteven a water. While we sat outside in the 90+ heat. There was no notice of only outdoor seating on the site either. It smelledpretty good, but we'll never know how the food tasted because there is no chance in hell I'll go back. Read more

Dough Vale is truly the most hidden gem in New York. the pizza is immaculate: i always get the burrata pie, but you can’t go... wrong with any of their pizzas. the crust is perfectly charred. it is always hot and never soggy. even the pockets of air in thecrust taste amazing. The burrata is cold and melts right over the pizza as you continue eating it. The arugula is always freshand adds a nice crunch of another texture to this delightful pie. the ambience: you step in and it’s a cozy dimly-lit, warmrestaurant. I feel like I am home when I walk in. You can sit at the bar (i highly recommend)where you can watch Giuseppeexpertly shape and cook the pies. Not only do you get to watch a master working his magic, he is truly one of the kindest, friendliest, most charismatic men i have ever met. If you hate pizza, you should still go to dough vale to meet Giuseppe. Thisplace is truly special and worth a plane ride to go to. i’m Read more
