you may find yourself lost in South Williamsburg on a weekday - wrong stop on the NYC ferry. perhaps though it was kismet - a... quick Google search leads you to Diner at 2 pm. It might be the weird hour when lunch is almost over - and there are maybe justten items on the menu - but fear not! You might order almost every item and then realize - eep! portions are generous and youare only one of three people dining at the table - but they put so much care in everything they serve. the curry kielbasa plateincludes a lovely pickled green salad with red cabbage, the chicken liver mousse is smooth and luscious, the caesar, doused in adelicious sour creamy dressing, is perfectly balanced with crunchy layers of green lettuce and radicchio. you will savor everybite of the fried fish sandwich, with its crispy thin batter housing tender white meat. Tempted by the brunch offering of Frenchtoast with apple compote, you succumb, and delight in the textural interplay of the fried corner sections and the sweet chewycenter, topped with delicious fruit. get an espresso martini or a wine recommendation from your very friendly server and stayawhile. Probably the worst burger I have ever had. Almost $30 if you add bacon. The bacon was like leather. The burger tasted stale.... Ordered medium and was over cooked. Had to drench with condiments to eat. Fries looked like left overs. No redeeming quality. Read more

The staff was incredibly friendly and you get a huge amount of food. This place is also LGBTQ+-friendly which makes it even... better. The diner itself is gorgeous and the ambiance is lovely. I would definitely recommend having lunch here if you’re inthe area!! Read more

Amazing food, ambiance and service! Our waitress was such a pleasure and made everything sound so appealing that our small group... ended up sharing 4 plates. The Caesar salad was one of the best we’ve ever had and the Chicken, Mussels & Pork werephenomenal. Read more

Great place for brunch/dinner. Feels like a classic diner inside with lots of seating outside too. The menu is a bit more... upscale than a classic dinner menu - nice salad options as well as burgers, fish etc. Service was very friendly. Read more

Diner is a solid option for all day dining if you’re in the area. The staff are super friendly and they excel at elevated... basics, think fried chicken caesar salad and an above average burger. The burger bun was a little flakey on top, i think theyused brioche which can dry out if not proofed properly. They also have a pretty extensive natural wine list, which i guess istable stakes these days in any self-respecting williamsburg restaurant. The fries were excellent. I think dinner is moreexpansive and vibey but either way its one of the standouts in this neck of the woods. Read more

Good food, great service and lovely outdoor seating! Love it when the servers are so friendly and smiling ! The caeser salad was... deliciously cheesy and crunchy, both the grass-fed burger and chicken were wholesome too! The sea bass was so-so but nocomplaints! The drinks were strong too which makes them worth the price. Read more
