Really good coffee and it's a such a gem in the area! This morning, I had a not so nice experience. It was pretty busy and it... seemed like one person was working. I think everyone was being understanding. Then a person had an issue with their drink andcame up after I ordered mine. I thought the barista was making my drink so I reminded them of a detail and they snapped at me(they were remaking the drink for the other person). It was a really rude reaction and it made me and the other person feeluncomfortable. I had even tipped them so I felt annoyed at how I was treated. I hope this can be a reminder to keep attitudes incheck and staff get the support they need so customers have a good experience. I've had lovely exchanges with their baristas! Read more

Quality coffee! A deserved stop for your morning brew. Excellent service as well. I appreciated that they entertained the idea... of grinding some coffee beans for me that I had already half finished and hadn?t even bought from their establishment. Theydidn?t grind them in the end leading to me attaining the catch phrase, ?that really grinds my beans? They didn?t want to tainttheir grinder, which is used with light and medium roast, with my Dark roast. So I appreciated the dedication to quality. Thebarista also told me that he likes to put sugar in his coffee but only when on vacation, which was also pleasant. Read more

Great atmosphere, great coffee. More caramely and sweet (naturally, no added flavours) than the earthier Australian coffee I'm... used to (which is neither worse nor better, just different). Friendly service, good tunes. I'll definitely be back. Read more

beautiful spot that was designed with loving care. the moment you walk in, you feel like you?ve landed in some secret... neighborhood haunt that has existed for forever and has heaps of quirky regulars (but is actually only a year old). The spaceis intentional in how it?s put together with booths that resemble neighborhood stoops and thrown clay mugs that match the warmbrown stairs. live plants throughout harken back to your grandma?s house with all the wild, verdant chaos folks showcased backin the 70s. the pastries were wonderful and the coffee was incredible and if you?re lucky, you may meet a happy dog whileyou?re there. if you find yourself in Crown Heights, you won?t want to miss this spot. As someone with food sensitivities (I?m gluten-free and dairy-free) and a love of coffee, I?m soooo thankful to have Daughter in... my neighborhood. The owners are ??, the coffee is ????????and the pastries are ????. They also have super dope pop-ups all thetime that they promote on IG @daughterny. If you want to support an inclusive business and enjoy some good design on a Saturday(or any day), come here. You?ll be glad you did. Read more

As someone who deeply loves high-quality coffee, Daughter delivers. As a former barista, I've ventured across New York City over... the years and found only a handful of specialty coffee shops that offer a product that is worth their pricing. Like most goodshere, coffee can be expensive. Daughter's prices are not only reasonable, but there products are excellent. More importantly, they are a warm and friendly staff. The seating concept is unique and beautiful and the floor-to-ceiling windows make thesmaller space feel expansive. As a resident of Crown Heights, I absolutely love the way they host community events and partnerwith mutual aid initiatives to give back to the community. Read more

I moved to the neighborhood yesterday and needed a place to sit and work for a few minutes this morning. I'm glad I came in to... daughter, really couldn't have asked for a better environment to sip a latte and decompress from a long day moving. The mapleglazed pistachio donut was wonderful, too! Real gem in crown heights. Amazing place and interior, very friendly team, top-notch coffee, great pastries, and good place to... watch people. Really loved their strawberry poppy seed turnover. Recommend coming here to read, work, meet people, watchpasserby, or grab something for takeout. Prices are very reasonable, especially given the high quality of products. Read more
