Disappointing, over salted and over priced. It had been years since I’d dined here and from what I recalled it was great, but... not this time. I love Italian food and have been to many of the top rated Italian restaurants in nyc, not to mention all overItaly. Although, the food was tasty, the portion sizes, amount of salt and prices were a little ridiculous. There were 2 of us,2 glasses of wine (which was very good), 2 appetizers (the beet salad was delicious BUT SO SMALL) and 2 main dishes. The $37Bronzino was unbelievably over salted and small. I’m not asking or expecting for family style portions, but for the price DOCis charging, I would like to see more offered. I think it’ll be another few years before I try DOC again. Read more

Best Italian restaurant. The ambient, the food, the service. Can’t ask for more…

Decent spot for Italian food and wine. We didn’t have a great staff experience so it was a bit uncomfortable. They were kind... of pushy about ordering quickly even when we were the only people at the restaurant when it opened at 5pm - so that was a bitodd. They didn’t come back to see if we needed new drinks or anything. Just in general felt a bit unwelcome, like we needed toeat and leave. Great outdoor space for outside dining and the interior is very cute as well. Read more

Terrible neighbors!! They have a 30' shed in the street for dining but use it for storage instead and fill the public sidewalk... space with furniture/umbrellas making it difficult for public to access sidewalk. Just last night I was walking past and whiletrying to avoid crashing into people walking opposite I tripped over a chair and the person seated was jolted forward. Ipreviously told workers they're furniture needs to be out of sidewalk space. The response was "The owner makes us, we're notallowed to use the shed". Filing another report to DOT and the mayors office! This place is a neighborhood nuisance and danger! Read more

The pasta here is so dang tasty. I added all that parm in my photos because I’m a sicko. Also the reason my pictures have a... blue tint - they turn on the clubbing lights at like 8 in the back. Fun vibe! Read more

D.O.C. is by far my favorite Italian restaurant in NYC! 100% authentic deliciousness from Sardinia, the most amazing island in... the Mediterranean Sea. I have been to this place a billion times and tried every dish on the menu, and I have to say, there isabsolutely nothing there that is not perfectly executed, everything is simply mind blowing. The malloreddus are obviously theirspecialty, they're rich, hearty, sumptuous, una meraviglia! I also recommend trying their pappardelle alla bolognese, thefregola (another specialty from Sardinia), the octopus and the branzino. Besides the incredible food, D.O.C. has also the bestservice in town, extremely kind, friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. The restaurant is beautiful, perfect for a romantic dateor a nice, informal dinner with friends. Go to the backroom to admire paintings and decor inspired by the gorgeous, typicalarchitectural style of the island. Veramente un posto incredibile. Siete bravissimi!!! Read more

This place was decent. Pasta was well prepared and very delightful. The servers were able to give us informative suggestions on... what to eat. The bread was the best thing I've had in a long time. It was so light and tasteful (we ordered 2 and an order togo)!!! The olives were over-rated and would pass on next time. Read more
