Came here with friends for dinner. It's a small restaurant but atmosphere is nice, decorations colorful. Had the Marley medley,... shrimp sushi. well seasoned, tasty. This place is not stingy with the alcohol, drinks were on point. Read more
Came out for a Sunday family dinner. The staff was friendly and attentive from the moment we walked in to the moment we left.... Everything was amazing. We had the oxtail czen rolls as and the tempura fish cake - omg soo good. For my entire I had the berryshort ribs with steamed veg and garlic mash. My sibling got the czen bowls which were such a neat idea. You absolutely have totry the salmon!! Lastly for dessert we really enjoyed the bread pudding and carrots cake. I highly recommend!! CZEN is going to be a gem of Brooklyn. It’s off the beaten path due to its location. The fusion of Caribbean and Asian is a... true testament to culinary arts. The pictures show their work of authentic dining experience. Please don’t go if you'reseeking huge meal portions. It’s art meeting elegance. The small restaurants have the ambiance but not the staff to matchtheir magnificent displays of fine dining. The team needs name tags with logos because you can’t hear them over thepatron’s chatter or music. Even when busy, the young staff is not paying attention to their table for additional orders or torequest your cheque. The tables are small to maximize space, I’d imagine, and the drinks are many, so I’d have to get backto you as I work my way through the drinks menu. Please, go check them out for yourself. This restaurant was decent. Chelsea was an amazing waitress if you go ask for her. The fish cakes were ok but the breading was... thick and clumpy but had loads of flavor and the sauce was amazing that went with it. The wings were good but lacked moisture.The sauce made the wings. the oxtail lacked salt but was very tender. The garlic butter shrimp was kind of on the sweet side butit was okay. The Rum punch and the fruit punch were by far too sweet but this restaurant had hits and misses in each dish wehad. Chelsea. The restaurant itself has a nice aesthetic and the food is very well presented but definitely doesn't live up to expectations... flavor/price wise. The lobster is fried in the shell so the coating ends up staying there and the waffles didn't have anythinggoing for them without the (very good) caramel or syrup. Worth a revisit for the dinner menu since we did go too early for someof the other options. Read more
Oxtail dumpling: dipping sauce combo with dumpling skin and pulled oxtail meat worked magic flavors in mouth. 10/10 Drinks: Too... strong to taste good, almost too much straight alcohol in the cocktail Ambiance: Calm night, server was attentive Bathroom isnice and clean, think there was 2. door latch was cool. The food and drinks came out relatively quick to my personalexperience. Main meal: Honey Butter garlic shrimp, Berry jerk Short rib. 10/10. Spontaneously went here a week ago with my daughter. Beautiful ambiance! Small interior but the food was delicious. Staff were... pleasant. We had the shrimp dishes garlic honey and red curry. Couldn’t really tell the difference between the two and theshrimp was a little over done. Nonetheless, it was enjoyable. The presentation was cute. The alcoholic beverages, for a litedrinker they were strong. If they want patrons to drink more they need to ease up a bit. I would absolutely go back andrecommend you give it a try.
