I tried the mapo tofu and the eggplant with garlic sauce. The food is decent at the price point ($15 each), although not super... memorable. There are simply too many great Szechuan restaurants in NYC, so Chiko?s take didn?t really leave an impression on me.Perhaps I will try again once they switch up the menu. Read more

Hands down best Mapo ever. EVER! Menu may be small but every dish MIGHTY. There's definitely something special about a... restaurant that makes every single item perfectly, no hit or miss literally, perfect every time. That's hard to find... Read more

Chiko is truly phenomenal. Every single thing on the menu is perfect. My favorite is the eggplant. If you?ve never had Sichuan... food before, Chiko does it amazingly and authentically (but beware the spice levels if you don?t eat spicy food). I want to eattakeout from Chiko every week ? it?s become my favorite restaurant in Greenpoint! Thank you Chiko!!!!!!!!! Read more

My partner and I have ordered everything on the menu and every time we pick up food from Chiko we are astounded by how delicious... it is. Truly some of the best Sichuan food we have ever had. We are so lucky to have this place in the neighborhood! And don?tforget to call in your order rather than using an app so that the restaurant can get all of your $ :) Read more

Really yummy flavorful food at a reasonable cost. They also came outside and helped fix the only umbrella for the only table. My... mouth was numb drinking the noodle soup but my stomach, dear reader, was happy. Read more

Wonderfully delicate as a cloud of tofu, I recommend it. Lots of flavor and spices. Strongly spicy dish, but tasty, although it... may be too spicy for someone ......... Very fast and friendly service. I generally recommend this place to lovers of Chinesecuisine in a modern edition. Read more

I?d hate to over-hype it, but this is probably my favorite restaurant in Greenpoint right now. Probably shouldn?t be surprised... that a place that featured a highly-regarded omakase was able to carry over the talent, ingredient quality, and attention todetail over to normal take-out food. My girlfriend and I went two days in a row. Everything on the menu is a home run (evenenjoyed the Mapo Tofu, and I usually avoid tofu like the plague). If someone told me this place was flirting with a Michelinstar, I wouldn?t be shocked. Read more

Great experience! Totally worth it. Modern open kitchen with plenty of space. The seating is limited to 10-12 chairs. The chef... and the host were friendly and welcoming. Top notch quality of the fish and meat(wagyu). Service and presentation was excellent. Read more
