It?s a really beautiful spot. I went to do some work and have a coffee. Ended up trying the Haitian Cocao, which I would... describe as a higher quality hot chocolate. Staff was friendly and the place is really pretty. Also good music Read more

This place is not very big ,but it's great if you wanna have a small baby shower or birthday party of about, id say 35-60 people... maximum , and there's 2 bathrooms and the ladies room at least is very clean idk about the men's, I believe you have to bringyour own food or have it catered of course, and there is a bar ,in just not sure of what the bar options are. But all in all Iwent there for my friends baby shower and I loved this pace, it was a cute little venue. Read more

had my daughters baptism party here in 2015, worst decision of my life, complete rip off. Food sucked, service sucked, they... serve you in the smallest plastic cups possible, gave out warm soda and water in June, the DJ was terrible. I paid around $5000, I regret it everyday of my life Read more

Saturday, May 11, 2019 - Early evening dinner. Service - Poor Waited long periods of time after seating (1/2 hour+) No water,... ice, bread, etc. After sitting waiting patiently to served, small 6oz plastic cups were given, and small paper plates. A 64 oz..of warm bottle of soda was given to each table and customers were told to go to the bar if we wanted ice or water. This type ofservice continued until we left about 9:30. We all gathered in honor of a love one and wanted to enjoy the memory, reminisce andenjoy a meal together. We didn't make a fuss about the situation, but I just I needed to Express and rate this experience. Read more

May 11, 2019 This past Saturday I attended a repast for a family member given at Brown Sugar. I was truly disappointed with this... Bedford/Stuyvesant landmark. Although it has been a number of years since I have attended any venue there i was disappointedwith the service and food. My other big issue for me was not having a rest room on the main level for seniors or any one with awalking disability. The restroom that was offer was down a step flight of stairs, dark and unsafe. You would think after havingthis restaurant open for over 25 years, you would think enough of your customers to have put one in on the main level. Now agood experience for me. Read more

Beautiful place. The owner went above & beyond to make sure my daughter had a spectacular 40th birthday Celebration. The... mixologist Yolanda is the best. She was very personable & she made the best drinks. Both photographs were so nice as can be. The" Brown Sugar" team is awesome. I wish I knew about them before I booked my upcoming event. Read more

Please do not use this company for catering. They ripped my family off when we used them as the caterers for the repass... following my Aunt's funeral. We hired them to serve at the church and after waiting almost one hour for them, they claimed thatthey had set up at the restaurant. It took them over thirty minutes to bring the food one block away. They were paid for foodfor 80 people and there was barely enough for 20 of us (the other guest grew weary and left). The owner would not answer thephone. When he did appear, he ran in and out stating that he was busy. We were promised an assortment of cakes that turned outto be packaged donuts and coffee cakes. Shame on them for taking advantage of a family during their hour ofbereavement!!!!!!!!!!! Read more
