Stayed at the hotel. Nice location and the hotel was great but not the restaurant. The bartender was openly rude to my guests.... It was extremely intentional, as if we were at a theme restaurant. For example, "Excuse me, may I speak to you before you makethe drink?" His response, "No, do you want it or not?" It was an extreme situation. Maybe he was having a bad night. The Caesar Salad wasn?t ?balanced?, meaning the dressing was underwhelming. The fries were soggy. And a $14 glass of bourbon... that took 8 minutes to pour with one other person in the restaurant was disappointing. It is what it is. Read more
I was a guest at the Box Hotel and took advantage of the complimentary cocktail to get the Moscow Mule. Perfect refreshing... cocktail from a long day in NYC!! I would absolutely get it again if I wasn't a guest at the hotel. Read more
Salmon Benedict eggs were delicious !!! (And I might be a bit of a picky eater on this item ^^) perfect runny eggs, good salmon... : not too fatty and not too salt, the salad brought a bit of sweetness and peppery taste while the bread gave a hint of sournessand bite to meal, great combo ! I gave four and not five stars cause at first the welcoming was cold (no greeting and waitresslooked sightly annoyed) but turned out that our waitress was very nice and smiling so all in all the place was pleasant and Iwould recommend it ! Poor Service. I came in on my lunch break as i've actually been meaning to try this place for sometime now since I work right... next door. I decided to sit at the bar and order, I must note, there wasn't anyone in the entire restaurant aside from one othercouple (also seated at the bar) and myself. The bartender neither greeted me nor gave me a menu upon my sitting down, eventhough the place was practically empty. She continued to ignore me for a few more minutes, focusing on the couple for somereason. I decided to leave when she further ignored me and decided having a conversation with a co worker was more importantthan acknowledging that i'd even sat down. I will not be coming back and am definitely not recommending any of my co workers topatronize this place. There's so many good spots to have lunch in the neighborhood who needs the aggravation. Came here a few times after work for a nice drink and a meal. Couple times i ordered the works burger and it was absolutely... delicious. Also got the chicken bites which were real good too. I still go here all the time and they never let me down. Read more
Had dinner & brunch during our stay at the Box hotel. Staff was awesome, food was excellent. Highly suggest eggs Benedict,... mussels, shrimp or Caesar salad. Read more
