I'm so impressed with Bonnie's. My wife has been bringing us to restaurants she's found on the New York Times list of 2020, and... we have not been disappointed. Bonnie's delighted us with familiar authentic Chinese flavors, presented in unique new ways. OurServer Rae really made our experience so special. She gave each of her tables individual attention, and spoke to us with awarmth and friendliness that made us feel like we were visiting a friend at work. Good food is important, but good, caring staffcan make a restaurant that much better in my opinion. Thank you guys so much! I definitely recommend the seared rice noodlesin XO sauce! The shrimp and walnuts is a must, and the Mccrib was delicious. Read more

I would say more like 3.5 stars personally, but it was an enjoyable meal and the staff were very attentive and... friendly. Food-wise speaking as a Cantonese-eater, I found some of the combinations and moderns takes to be hit or miss. Some Iliked better than others, but I appreciated the fun and pizzazz. Among my favorites were their take on the walnut shrimp (hupto ha), sticky rice (naw mai fan) and also the chicken (bak cheet gai). I felt that the oysters were flavored too stronglymasking the taste of the oysters in favor of the pizzazz. The main rainbowfish was an interesting but not a favorite take, stuffed and made into a lettuce wrap format with a green almost salsa-esque sauce. The cacio de pepe felt out of place and thewontons amongst some of the other dishes were forgettable in my personal opinion. The staff however was very attentive andservice was excellent. The Long Island iced tea pot was fun to share amongst a big group, and the atmosphere was pleasant andwhat you would expect from a Brooklyn spot like this. Was it worth the hype? Probably not for me, but for those that not avidchinese-food eaters this is more of a fun experimental spot. I don't know if I would come again personally. Read more

Loved the food here. Great, quick service. Loved the two cocktails we got, especially the penicillin one. My ONLY knock is that... it was a little warm inside. Definitely recommend the chrysanthemum salad - the perfect light addition to whatever elseyou’re getting. I personally loved the XO noodle dish - those noodles are my definition of comfort food. My boyfriend lovedthe shrimp w walnuts - it was light and citrusy… so good! Read more

Very busy restaurant, all booked up for months, in order to eat last night, we went there at 4pm , line up for 5pm . This is... a new way cook for Chinese food, steaming eggs w claim, (this is very NEW way to cook this disk w claim), but source wassalty. Noodle dish have the smokies favori,, have a little bit spicy, and salty as well. The last dish, we order fire ????fish, the inside bones and fish meats had been take it all out, (and crumble it), then put it back. It is also salty to me. Theserving between each dishes dragged too long, it make me loose my appetite ????. They maybe too busy, service was so so. Drinkate excellent. Read more
