Really enjoyed the chill atmosphere and cozy Mediterranean fare. Was trying to eat kinda light and clean, so I got the lentil... soup followed by grilled veggies and rice. There was complimentary pita that made it even more filling. Not too crowded andfriendly, attentive service would make me come back anytime. Read more

Mediterranean spots can consist of the same items with no uniqueness but at Black Iris they made this amazing Turkish Eggs dish... along side some fantastic pita for brunch. High recommend coming here for this dish which soothes the soul & leaves your tastebuds feeling rejuvenated Read more

So, it's my first time ordering from Black Iris. Didn't disappoint. My food came in hot and that's my first impression. Then i... ate the lamb leg i ordered. OMG! Blew me away. If you ever tasted a grilled meat with firewood vs coal or regular grill, youwill know the difference. But this lamb tasted as if grilled with firewood! I might be wrong but how it's prepared just blew mymind. Took me back home (Nigeria). Well done, guys. But one thing i wasn't impressed with was the plate used to handle the food.I am sure you can improve that and will return with a 5 stars. Good luck! Read more

I ordered the chicken gyro platter and the mint tea. The food was just okay, the service wasn't great (the waiter forgot my... drink). Then they charged me $1.55 extra for using a credit card. When explaining the "tech fee" to me the waiter said that itwas written on the receipt that I could have saved the fee if I didn't use the card, but that receipt was BARELY legible -literally looked the printer was running out of ink but then the credit card receipt was printed perfectly fine. All told, theprice wasn't terrible for a sit-down restaurant, but the food was no better than a halal cart. I would try a new place beforecoming back here. Read more

It’s a neighborhood restaurant offering Mediterranean cuisine. The star & must have is the pita bread because it comes in... round, fluffy, warm and yummy. The hummus is elevated because the pita is so delicious. I ordered the Merguez, a spicy lambsausage with rice and a side salad. The lamb was ok, nothing spectacular and the rice was so so. My dining partner ordered theshrimp pizza, which was really good. In looking at the menu, I should have ordered the lambajin pitzaa because they seem to dopizza right. I would give this restaurant a second go when I’m in the area and order the lambajin pizza. The service wasattentive on a Halloween night, we Hu h made the dining experience pleasurable. Read more

Lots of outdoor seating and saw some people inside too. For two people- we got the lamb sausage, mezze plate, zaatar bread, and... baklava- delicious and very filling. Waiters/waitresses were all very nice. I look forward to coming back! Read more
