Beautiful art work embracing the walls and a thousand led lights like stars shall embrace your evening. Started off withthe lamb chops. They are like the best lamb chops you?ve had but with a south Asian twist. Then we ordered the masala friesalong with beef kebabs. Deliciouso! We then ordered the Jani and the Lahori burger. Both were good but my preference is theLahori burger. A juicy meaty burger with a hint of spice. This restaurant is a few blocks from the subway and is a cozy spot. They do a good job of setting up the environment and the... wall is plastered with community artwork. I ordered one of their premiere burgers and a soda at my table. The meat is cookedalright, although they had some sauce which added more heat than flavor. It's a neat place, but probably not for me. I feel like BK Jani is more hyped up as being good than it really is. My experience here was not up to par. Burger was average,... felt like it was homemade? Burger Buns were regular style i could get from walmart... Chops were good but not worth the pricetag, tasted like drya masala sprinkled on top when grilled. Fries were spot on. Over priced and over rated! Why stuff the burger with the south Asian mint sauce ??? A little bit would have fine. The quality... of bun was low. The fries are over loaded with masala spices. And the nasty attitude of the staff is unwarranted!! Keep it upand you will gain a lot of loyal customers. Read more
The number one rule I have for any restaurant is that the food has to taste good. At this restaurant, the claim is that they use... high quality products, yet the burgers are served on a basic hamburger bun. High end burger establishments use brioche buns.While the food was good, it did not warrant such a spectacular taste for an $18 burger without fries and a drink. Even the $7large fries didn?t suffice for the serving size. If the price matched the portion, this restaurant would get 5 stars and be asmashing hit, but when you get a plate with only a hamburger on a basic bun for $18 it isn?t justified. I had a burger just asgood in Manhattan at Burgermania for half the price (on a brioche bun too). Read more
We've been to BK Jani multiple times, and although the food is good (and very spicy!), I wish they would be a little more... lenient allowing for customizations to the menu. I understand that the menu is the creativity of the chef, however, a customershould be able to request their burger meat to be cooked to a certain temperature (for example, medium instead of medium rare) Read more
