Ordered Caesar Salad and Palmero Panini. Owner check your employees how they making food at your Diner. Check your Menu! Caesar... Salad with tomatoes???? Seriously???? Then Palmero Panini read your menu and take a look whats on the picture. Where is freshbasil? Where is the pesto sauce? Where is sundried tomatoes???? They just put marinara sauce, breaded chicken and mozzarellathats it! When I asked the employee he said : " ITS SUNDRIED TOMATO PESTO AND BASIL ALREADY IN THE SAUCE! THATS WHY COLOR ISRED". Lived in this neighborhood for over 40 years & first time eating here, not sure why but it will be added to my regulars from now... on. Walking along the avenue and decided to grab a bite, glad we did ! Food was absolutely delicious & the coffee was very goodwhich is very hard to pull off for diners. Mike & staff were so welcoming, so attentive checked on us quite a few times which isreally important to me when dining out. My wife and I found this place randomly since we couldn't get to where we were going and we found a gem. This may have been my... best diner experience. The food was very good, cooked perfectly. The server and others were extremely polite and friendly. Weasked about a soup that we never heard of (avgolemono) and he gave us a sample, which was also very good. My husband and I decided to go to breakfast. The diner we were going to is located on a block that was having a street festival... so we couldn?t access it. We used Google to find another diner in the area and decided to come to Bay Ridge Diner. We parked andcame in and was greeted by friendly staff. They are practicing all the Covid-19 protocols and asked to see our vaccinationproof, which is also posted outside. We were seated and welcomed again. They even let us try a soup we never heard of but ininquired about due to its name. The soup is called Avgolemono and they brought over some for us to sample. We didn?t ask for itbut they did it so we now know what it is and even explained how it?s made. We ordered breakfast and it didn?t disappoint.Crispy bacon that wasn?t disgustingly salty like some places and glorious home fries! My husband had french toast and I don?teven like French toast but his looked phenomenal. Challah was definitely used and a good amount of cinnamon and a sprinkling onconfectioners sugar so it doesn?t overpower the delicate bread! The coffee was great too! We are definitely coming back! We've been coming here even before the pandemic. This Diner is definitely one of the best. The customer service is always on... point. The owner and the son are both very friendly. Servers are polite. Place is always clean. The food is very good compare toother Diner. The price is reasonable even after the pandemic. They require the vac card to dine in. The food is delicious and service friendly and helpful. As you can see from the photographs the portions are huge and the... seating is comfortable Btw they also deliver and are pretty quick after lunch And dinner hours. The prices need to be updated ontheir website otherwise their reasonable and nice size portions As for the new owners they are always helpful and appreciate youdropping in . Read more
I won?t eat there any longer. It?s all about customer service! The owner understands that his business is literally his bread... and butter. He and his son are professionals. I can?t say the same for one of the wait staff. I guess he feels irreplaceablebecause he?s been employed there for so long. His attitude is the worse!!! I can make my own breakfast from now on or go to oneof the dozens of other diners in the neighborhood! We do not know what is around the corner for any of us, but one thing I doknow is I?m not going to let some pink kid disrespect me! Read more
