If I can describe this place and the quality of food…HORRENDOUS and a NIGHTMARE . When it comes to Ethiopian cuisine I know... the authenticity of it. Due to trying many different restaurants. Firstly, the injera bread was cold, very thin and staleresembling like crepes. Yikes! The meat dishes was mainly dried up stew- barley no meat. Upon receiving my order I askedpolitely our server/manger “HIBIST LEGESSE” about my concern. She was extremely passive aggressive and dismissive about it,and was pointing her fingers directly on my food saying” look its right there, the meat” . Unbelievable, Unsanitary and NoRespect. Lastly, when it came to my bill of charge , she had the audacity to walk up to my table during a conversation. She said“ why this is $0 in the tip section” “ how was the service, huh “ . Basically asking us about a tip she didn’tdeserve. I was shocked. Ms. Legesse take this as lesson , when you provide great-friendly service to your customers and ,that’s when you receive a tip. But instead you was the opposite of that. Never in my life I experience this treatment .Overall , please stay away from this “ Ethiopian restaurant”. Read more

Super friendly staff. We enjoyed sitting outside but the inside looked nice as well. We shared the Doro Wett with lentils and... greens. The chicken was tender and the sauce was delicious. Wish there had been more. A lot of it was soaked up by the injera itwas served on. I would ask for it to be served separately next time. Overall I would definitely go back and try other dishes. We had an enjoyable meal at bati Ethiopian kitchen. We really loved the spicy crispy injera bread, the stewed chicken, the beef... stew, the lamb stew and all of the vegan dishes. I love how dramatic the combination platter looks! I enjoyed the Ethiopianbeer I had, It was very light and refreshing. I'm not sure I consider getting one chicken drumstick in a chicken dish a goodvalue. Seemed a bit short. Also the sauteed beef dish was tough. We left fat and happy. Read more

I'd love to know where the positive reviews come from because the bread was as thin as a crepe not filling at all, we were... served completely cold food as if it was taken out of fridge & put it in the microwave for 30 seconds, and when I requested tohave the food warmed up I was told the food is supposed to be cold which I know for a fact it's not. unhelpful service. breadwas cold and curry/vegetables were lukewarm. the tables were also not cleaned properly they were all sticky and lots of crumbsfrom other meals in the cracks. do not recommend. there are better places with more filling portions for the price, left with anempty stomach even after a full platter.
