Athena's is the best place in Brooklyn for Authentic Greek food !! Not sure how many ways to say this. Spiro & his staff are... absolutely the best, they treat you as if you are family. Do yourself a favor & just try their food, you will not bedisappointed ! Update: Nothing has changed, always the most amazing food. Teddy & staff are as always the best ! Tried the WhiteClam Sauce with Penne, absolutely incredible ! Definitely need a spoon to eat all the clams after you've eaten the pasta ! Read more

Good good. I was wondering where the kitchen was and lo and behold it was next to the bar where you could not even notice there... was a door there. The food was good it was authentic Greek food and and the waiter's/owner were very friendly to us andrecommended some good dishes.. At the end of the meal they gave us a windex shot. Read more
Stumbled on Athena biking around park slope. Perfect spot for ?Sunday dinner? or late lunch. Had the avgolemono soup and this... amazing seasonal special: sautéed veal with artichoke hearts on rice (pictured). So well done , flavourful, to die for. Icouldn?t have pita (dietary reasons) with the complimentary homemade hummus, and they offered to sub for cucumber, so kind!!Served by Chef himself ;) thank you! Amy (waitress) is GOLD. Top of the line service, friendly, professional. The food was nicely presented, and yummy. Tried the... Greek burger, tuna steak, moussaka... The Greek fries are delicious.. nice and relaxing vibe. Got crowded at some point. We wentearly (6pm) and got the last table outdoor. Many families like this place. Highly recommend. Read more
Exceptional service and excellent food. Probably the best Greek food I've ever had. Wait staff attentive and knowledgeable. Food... was delicious and fresh with top tier ingredients. Worth every penny. Salmon was so delicious, mussels' sauce (red wine) wasfantastic and at the end we were giving a complementary shot of Windex, it made the experience so great. Honestly the best Mediterranean food I?ve ever had. The staff/owners are fantastic which just makes this place better. The lemon... chicken soup is what I?ll miss the most when I?m back at home. Love it so much, I came twice while visiting the area. Definitelycheck this wonderful restaurant out when your in Brooklyn. Highly recommend the lunch specials. The cod with a white sauce isphenomenal and the chicken with mushrooms (similar to a Marsala) is so so good. I got the whole fish for dinner, excellent. Read more
