Athena's is the best place in Brooklyn for Authentic Greek food !! Not sure how many ways to say this. Spiro & his staff are... absolutely the best, they treat you as if you are family. Do yourself a favor & just try their food, you will not bedisappointed ! Update: Nothing has changed, always the most amazing food. Teddy & staff are as always the best ! Good good. I was wondering where the kitchen was and lo and behold it was next to the bar where you could not even notice there... was a door there. The food was good it was authentic Greek food and and the waiter's/owner were very friendly to us andrecommended some good dishes.. At the end of the meal they gave us a windex shot. Read more

Honestly the best Mediterranean food I?ve ever had. The staff/owners are fantastic which just makes this place better. The lemon... chicken soup is what I?ll miss the most when I?m back at home. Love it so much, I came twice while visiting the area. Definitelycheck this wonderful restaurant out when your in Brooklyn. Highly recommend the lunch specials. The cod with a white sauce isphenomenal and the chicken with mushrooms (similar to a Marsala) is so so good. I got the whole fish for dinner, excellent. Read more
