AlMar many years ago we just walked in this area and wanted to have dinner, and something suggested this place to me, I am from... Ukraine but I really love Italian cuisine, and for about 11 years from the other end of the city we have been going to AlMar,very good service, hospitable the owners of the restaurant, and most importantly, for all the years we have never beendisappointed with real Italian delicious cuisine, homely atmosphere and all the time we try something new from the chef Alfredoand Marcello, he will tell me something, I advise my friends and compatriots to try. The best Italian place with my love toyou! my friends. Read more

????One of a kind Egg Breakfast in Dumbo. Obviously, it was visually stunning. It was all made out of egg on the deliciously... soft bread with cheese. I loved it overall. The atmosphere in the restaurant was amazing! It’s good place to have aconversation with a nicely comfortable mood. The price was reasonable in the center of Dumbo. I had the egg in a cloud withlatte. I paid $24 including taxes, tips. Overall, it was pretty awesome! Read more

I wanted to like this place more, but what I had was only okay. The wine I had was great and went well with my mortadella pesto... sandwich. But the focaccia bread was thin… maybe a 1/4 in for each side of the sandwich which is just not what I expect orwant from a focaccia. The pistachio pesto was fine but pistachio flavor was just not there. My side salad had multiple leaveswith brown oxidized ends. My friend enjoyed her food and the prices for a lunch in DUMBO were quite reasonable. I would try itagain maybe during dinner. But less effort shouldn’t be put into your lunch verses dinner customers, which is what feels likewas happening as my friends raved about the food prior to this visit. Read more

At AlMar. Lunch! Spectacular porchetta, broccoli rabe and provolone sandwich. Awesome bread. Thin shaved pork, perfectly... cooked broccoli rabe. The salad was an afterthought with a sandwich this good. Great casual vibe. Excellent Italian dominatedwine list. Good selection of amaro (it’s my thing). Dinner probably even better. Run, don't walk Read more

I would of loved to give this place 5 stars , I really do.... but I feel when you enter a place of business, the customer should... feel welcomed. I did not get that welcoming feeling. We made reservations but my parties table was given away...and was toldthe wait would be long. My party and I were offered a table outdoor, everything felt odd since one of my guest came from longisland and didnt have her covid card handy , I just felt they didnt want us sitting indoors at all and was looking for everyexcuse. Food was ehh at best, but yeah, hospitality goes a long way, so I had to knock off 3 stars. Read more

I had brunch today with two friends. We ordered the wagyu roaste beef and mezzi rigatoni. Both dishes really good. And not too... pricey for brunch and the zone (Dumbo). We spent less than $60 (including taxes). And this is really important: the music wasgooood hahaha. Share the playlist please! Read more

Everything from the pasta, branzino, beef carpaccio, and grilled octopus was delicious. Came here on a Tuesday night at around... 6:30 and it still was kinda busy despite it being a weeknight! Really Good service, great food. Would definitely recommend. Read more
