Love this local coffee shop for the wide food selection for when I'm spending the whole day out studying. Food is fresh,... delicious, and, in my opinion, well-priced for any Brookline shop - I really enjoyed the taste (and size!) of Roasted Tomato &Chevre Panini. Seating is very comfortable, but outlets are scarce. Music is at the perfect volume to be able to talk with afriend or focus on work, and staff were super kind! Got the (popular) item here - Southwestern turkey panini. Was a little hesitant with getting this as deliver because was afraid... it'll be soggy or too hard by the time we get it. But they did such a good job with this panini that the inside was still warmand the outside was crisp crunchy (not hard at all). Tasted just as good as eating it there. The place is nice and cozy. People who work there were very pleasant. The only problem that we had was that is the ?Falafel... salad? which was pretty big salad, were just 3 little pieces of falafel. Which I?m still not sure was planned or a miss-counted,but surely was pretty disappointing. Everything else was great. Clean and contemporary atmosphere without being hoity toity. Feels natural and laid back with good interior design. Plenty of... seating, quick service, nice staff. Iced coffee was good. Would be a nice place to grab coffee with a friend and take a minuteto chill. Read more
I got a few different items from here yesterday. As I was enjoying the tomato and chevre panini, I bit into something hard.... Sometimes if a place uses fresh herbs -- in particular, rosemary -- you encounter a hard stalk-y piece and I figured that waswhat it was. Unfortunately not. It was a metal staple ????. I usually don't write negative reviews, but that is disgusting andbizarre. Why would a staple even be near the food prep station? It's almost like it was placed there on purpose as some kind ofjoke or by some disturbed employee. Whatever the cause, I'm just thankful that I didn't suffer some kind of mouth trauma becauseof it. Grub Hub was quick to refund the cost of the sandwich, but it would have been more appropriate for them to refund theentire order, because it's not as though I felt comfortable eating any of the rest of the food I'd ordered.
