Reviews for Shaking Crab (Upper West Side) in Brookline, MA
Wow! Go here! Came here by accident and ended up eating over 5lbs of crab legs during their all you can eat (Mon-Wed). Honestly... know you limit or you will be charged for the extra (you can’t take home food). Our waitress was attentive and encouraged usto try new sauces with the seafood 10/10. The fish bowl drink tasted so yummy! Read more
Very bare bones ambiance but delicious! I felt badly for the one server on the floor but it seems like an efficient method of... delivery - and good quality seafood. Sauce was rich and yummy. All served in a plastic bag. If I forget about all the plasticthey use...it was definitely worth a visit :) Read more
We ordered the lobster tail + half clams and fried lobster plate. Both were very tasty. The lobster tail is soft and tender. The... sauce they gave was generous as well. We ordered with cajun sauce. It was on point! Will definitely come again. Read more
I can’t even begin to describe how good everything about this was. An entire experience. 2 Lobsters Clams and Mussels in a... butter garlic lime cilantro sauce. And potatoes and corn too. Paper lined table, gloves, obligatory bib and off you go. Theydropped this massive tray of food and then brought us a side of Cajun sauce just to try. Staff was super nice and made greatsuggestions. And the music was ???? ???? I don’t know who was in charge of the music, but great food and a banging soundtrackjust made it 1000x better. Literally shoving buttery potatoes in mah face and dancing in the booth. Digging into this meal withno utensils, just our hands, is exactly what we needed tonight. We are definitely full and safe from any vampires. A veryimmersive meal and would highly recommend if you come to Boston. Read more
A clean, roomy, modern space specializing in "Louisiana style" seafood. The atmosphere was nice. The portions generous. We had a... fisherman's platter starter followed by the seafood galore platter. The fish tasted fresh and was well prepared. The dippingsauces were good. The garlicky butter sauce was full flavored but the "shaking sauce" was somewhat bland. Personally, I prefer abit more spice in my Louisiana cooking. Happily though, they sis not over salt their food, like so many other restaurants in thearea. My final impression was that it was quite good but a little on the expensive side. How did shellfish get so darnexpensive! Read more
Food is absolutely delicious! Highly recommend the passion fruit mojito! It wasn't busy when we went around 12:30....but that... was great for me and my friend, as we got to catch up and enjoy the experience! You have to work for your food with the crackingand peeling...but that just adds to the experience! Ask for extra napkins.... you'll need them! We got the double shrimp andcrab legs in the medium Cajun sauce. Plenty of leftovers for us both and so easy to re-boil at home! Definitely recommend! Read more
We had a drink while we waited for our takeout. The small staff was so quick we weren't even half way through our beverage when... our order for 5 people was already made. Everything was hot and fresh despite the fact it took us 30 minutes fighting trafficbefore we made it back to the hotel. The best part was all the fried food that was not seafood, did not taste like seafood.Overall, great experience. We visit every time we come to Boston. Read more
We went there for "all you can eat" (only Monday to Wednesday). The snow crab legs were good. Though the other dishes (shrimps,... clams, oysters, corns) were below average - biggest disappointment was the garlic noodle. It did not taste like the same dish inany other locations of shaking crab - a weird artificial taste and the noodles were sour. The water was friendly. Read more
