I used to have this as 5 stars. Sad to have to change it. Ordered house special udon. All 3 proteins were overcooked to almost... jerky level, chewy. Plus the chicken/beef seemed to be scraps from other dishes, maybe that's why they're so dry, cooked a fewtimes/repurposed. The (raw tuna/salmon) sushi was placed directly on top of it, so the sushi was piping hot and mealy. For $40there wasn't much that was enjoyable or worth it. The raw fish wasn't edible, nor the beef/chicken. I've ordered here once aweek for a while now. Today was not a good experience. -------------------------------- Ordered 3 roll special (crunchy salmon,crunchy tuna and shrimp tempura), a piece of salmon sushi and mango bubble tea. First, these guys are always great about specialinstructions, which is crucial for me because I am allergic to ginger. I also don't like sugary tea, and i don't like ice. Itwasn't too sweet and it had no ice:). The sushi is fresh, with crunchy bits (not stale like other places). They did forget myside salad, but NBD, it's the free one that comes with the sushi. Bought a pork katsu(Very satisfied). The cutlets aren?t dry, but rather crispy & slightly juicy. The homemade sauce perfectly... accentuates it?s flavor. White rice was just right, not over/undercooked. Lastly I choose Miso as the compliment to the dish;it?s taste is very subtle & refreshing, you?ll want to drink the whole thing! This place is underrated. I got a Spicy Tuna Roll as take out for only $4.95, and it was really good! I?ll definitely be going... back and trying out the rest of the menu. Coming from a broke college student, the prices are doable, the flavors are great, andit?s totally worth a visit. Read more
It was an interesting call to make to fill a dinner fetish but not quite sure if their sushi was worth reordering. However, was ... pleasantly surprised to have found a place which offered some type of sushi. Overall the sushi was a tad pricey for it to belukewarm and the brown rice rolls possessed little to no flavor. This delivery was handled by DoorDash and came pretty fast.Can't wait to try this establishment in person. Hopefully that would make the difference. Not sure if we've ever been to a sushispot that served fried chicken wings and maybe next time we should follow our first instincts.
