Was not impressed. We planned to go to another restaurant nearby but it was graduation weekend and they were booked. Our fault... for not planning ahead. Mario’s managed to slip us in immediately which I was happy about. It was a full house so I wasexpecting a good experience. The server was not at all helpful with menu questions or recommendations and seemed agitated fromthe beginning. Food (pasta) was very average in my opinion. Went for a second time in 25 years that I've been in New York and we celebrated a good friend 70th birthday. They could not be... any more accommodating. Great family atmosphere. You do not have to dress up but you get service and amazing food like a highclass restaurant. The owner was very nice. A great place for a family gathering and dinner. I went here for dinner with my Garden Club after spending the day visiting the Botanical Gardens. There were 60 of us & we had... a price fixed dinner which included salad, pasta, entree & dessert. Big portions, friendly services, authentic Italian…. What’s not to like about this place? The bread was hot and fresh, the... chicken parmigiana with spaghetti hit the spot and the tiramisu was light and airy. I loved the whole experience and they havecomplimentary parking.
